This will always be the one. This is the chipotle where it all started. It had been renovated and changed from its original layout, but it’s still the original. Been eating here since year one, grew up nearby, and went to South High. We used to eat here almost every day for lunch. This location or the Alameda and Logan location.

The OG Chipotle. Where it all began! HQ now in Cali so this is kind of an empty legend at this point. Neat old sign and artwork inside but no room to sit down and eat.

I went there last night at 9PM to get tacos and the door was open but as soon as I walked in they said they were closed for the night and the hours on the door showed 10PM closing. I understand now that the DU students are on break they aren’t as busy but then change your hours so the rest of the public knows when you are open.

We could not resist stopping for dinner at the original Chipotle while in Denver. To see where it all started is a blessing for all Chipotle enthusiasts. The night we ate there, we decided to eat outside because the weather was gorgeous. This is definitely a must for all those who love Chipotle!

This Chipotle location is the very first an original in Denver, and the excellent team welcomes you accordingly: “welcome to the original Chipotle!” The place delivers everything to expect from a good Chipotle spot: great food, large sizes and super healthy options.

Able needs a little attitude adjustment. I phoned because I found a hair in my bowl. He quickly dismissed me. Was rude, basically said he could not hear me. I called three times. He understood the moral issue. He found it amusing and laughed, that my hard earned money went to waste. I will be taking this to whatever level needed to make sure I’m compensated. Today with inflation it’s not cool to have what I paid for messed up.

This is the VERY FIRST Chipotle, the famous quick-casual restaurant, the one founded by the famous Steven Ells. It’s tiny, with a sign that reads “Occupation: 17 customers.” The building was previously a Dolly Madison Ice Cream Shop, where I bought cones for my little son in the early 1990’s. That Dolly Madison shop is immortalized in three black-and-white photos on the wall here. They’re fashioned in the style of Chipotle’s typical self-referencing b/w photos; I wonder how many customers actually note the difference.

Management is horrible. They lost a huge catering order and acted like it was no big deal. I don’t think they realize they cost the store money, and the drivers’ time and money for lunch orders are now gone. Let’s not forget a lot of hungry people now have NO food.

This review is for corporate Chipotle, not the location. This was the first store and represented great food, with an honest and authentic approach. Today your brand is anything but. You partner with delivery apps that do not hold up their end of the process, without recourse for the customer. You charge different prices based on delivery vs. pick up because no one wants to go to your restaurants in person because they are a mess. Your product varies from location to location. Your sources of your suppliers are less transparent than ever. Qudoba or even Tacobell is a good enough comparison of food for the price. Congratulations for racing to the bottom. You’ve done it! Moving forward, I’m going to go to authentic Mexican restaurants that are locally owned, in-person or on Uber eats(Not Grubhub) and I will be paying less and will be enjoying better food. I suggest everyone else does as well. Little Anita’s is a great alternative in this area. Or just walk across the street to Pete’s and put some potatoes in you burrito. There are so many better options these days, it’s not worth wasting time with a once great Colorado company that lost its soul. Which by writing this review, I just wasted more time. Dang it Chipotle, you win again.

We were excited to go to the original Chipotle. The sign is cool. Disappointed the inside is very small with very limited seating. Took our food down the street to a picnic table. Service was average. Food was good…fresh, warm, guac was green not brown.
