We have been here twice. I really enjoy the vegetable plank with chicken . My wife had the chicken cordon bleu . We also had the Michigan Local Sparkling Wine and a bodacious dessert! We really like the food and the ambience of this place. This is our go to when we are around Mackinaw Island. Oh the decor is very gorgeously unique!

This place has the most amazing food & service! We ordered the Chicken Philadelphia & the Encrusted Whitefish & both were fantastic! We ordered the Flaming Peach Melba for two & were very happy to have it prepared for us @ our table by our waiter, John T. Everything about the food & the dining experience exceeded our expectations! We would definitely go there again if we’re ever in the area in the future

I’ve gotta say, this place totally blew me away. The salad dressing was phenomenal and the Swiss Onion Woup was delicious. I had the NY Strip and my fiance had the Filet and were amazed by the flavor of our food. We were so full, but then saw a cart get rolled out and a waiter made another table some Banana’s Foster and it looked so good that we had to order some up for ourselves and our waitress came over with the cart and made it right in front of us, it’s an impressive process and I’ve gotta say, it was truly amazing. One of the best deserts we’ve ever had, I can’t recommend it enough. My fiance and I both agreed that it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We’ll surely stop back when we’re in town.

We travel from the southeast to upper. Feel like it’s more like $$$ but absolutely worth it. We were all very full after having the appetizers and whitefish dishes but still couldn’t help to order the dessert for a try. Joe was our server and he’s super patient and familiar with every dish they provide. Highly recommend this place if you first go to the upper and want to find a place to relax after enjoying the beautiful sunset at the lakeshore.

We dined during a holiday weekend right when they opened and were able to get a table. We enjoyed the outdoor themed decor. Our server was very attentive and offered recommendations when we asked for them. Our food came out promptly. We enjoyed our meals – whitefish on a cedar plank and the meat loaf. Highly recommend their take on the wedge salad if you’re a wedge salad fan. We’d recommend Chippewa Room to family and friends and will be back the next time we’re in the area.

EXCEPTIONAL food and service. Our table of 4 adults ordered 3 entrees and had PLENTY of food. We especially liked the stuffed whitefish and fried shrimp. My favorite was the Michigan Maple Sundae.

Went here based on the reviews and it was ok. Filet was good, salads good, whitefish was average, banana foster great. Service was average and hard to understand server with an accent. Didn’t care for the dated themed atmosphere much and area was too touristy for us. Mostly older people dining. Not a lot of other steak/seafood restaurants to choose from in the city. I would try somewhere else in St Ignace with a water view if I were in the area again.

I took my wife here for her birthday, with our son, while we were in town, and had a great experience. I was hoping they’d have some fresh Lemonade, but they only have it on the gun. We had the escargot appetizer, and it was delish, although they were served on mushroom caps, which we had never had before. Our entrees were all amazing as well, one Lasagna, one Seafood Fettucini Alfredo, and one Frogs Legs plate. We were too full to order any dessert. Our server Amber? was great as well, very personable and knowledgable about the menu and prep time so we had very little wait between our appetizer and our meals.
