We were looking to travel further North and wanted a we buy you fry restaurant and stumbled upon this Diamond in the rough! Shrimp basket was absolutely the freshest perfectly battered and fried and hot shrimp I have had in a longgggg time!!! My hubby had the whiting dinner and it was delish! He did end up stealing my last shrimp. We are very happy to have found this spot and we will back soon! We will also be sharing the word with others as well! We are the couple that have 5 children and the pretty necklace shirt! 😉 Thanks for sharing love through your food!

I really wanna like this place! I just want to know who is actually cooking the food and can they read cuz the order is NEVER right! I order spaghetti today with 2 sides and pork chops with 2 sides and never got my spaghetti and they gave me 2 pork chops that tasted so salty like it came from the ocean I literally took 2 bites out of it cuz it was so salty and trashed the rest! They even got the sides wrong as well. I can say now I’m totally done with this place. I ordered them last week and the pork chops were so overly cooked and hard couldn’t even bite into it then 2 weeks before that my spaghetti I wanted to like was even super salty and I didn’t even get all of that. I’m noticing whatever it is they just load it with salt and will mess up your order.

Some of the BEST jumbo whole chicken wings. The sweet potatoes and spaghetti salad are amazing too. It’s so flavorful you can tell that Black folk are in the kitchen actually using seasonings. They’re on DoorDash and the jumbo wings are only for the first two hours they’re open. But everything from them is good, so shop with them if you need real soul food and not that school cafeteria style nonsense.

Saw this place when stopping by at the Subway 2 doors down. We are fairly new to the area, and I told my wife about it. She stopped in last night for carry out. The food she brought home was amazing! She went on & on about how they were so nice and accommodating. It was close to closing, so they were out of a few items. They literally sent her home with a feast! Whole slab of ribs, barbecue chicken, catfish, fries, mac & cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was amazing…!!! I see the bad reviews on here, but everything was excellent for us. We will definitely order again. I have had lots of Southern cooking, and this did not disappoint!

Woods didn’t answer this Sunday and we wanted catfish so I came here. They were busy and said 15min and it was ready in 15min. The Mac and cheese was flavorful but runny, the greens had a bite too them and could have benefited from being cooked longer with more seasoning, the catfish had tough skin. It was all edible but I probably won’t return

Called ahead for cod and catfish with sides for my family. Everyone loved both fish, and the greens are to die for! Can’t wait to try something different next time. These people are so nice and friendly. Definitely recommend!
