The jollof rice combo with chicken was okay. The goat meat peices were really small and there were bone pieces with no meat on them in the Okro and stew. Overall, the serving sizes are too small for almost $40 bucks. The cashier was polite. I won’t be returning.

Customer service is friendly and attentive. I am a vegan and I was told that all the options are vegan and the meats are cooked separately and served on the side. The dining area was clean with booths, tables and high chairs for little ones.and the menu is friendly on the wallet. Food was good. I left off 1 star because there were only 3 kinds of cake vanilla, coconut and red velvet.

This place is crazy!! I came for the 2nd time….just because the wings are great but I will NEVER return!! 1st of all….after spending 13.41 for wings and the dry jollof rice….that they spread around on the platter….to make it look like it was more food (than a little bit), I was not afforded the opportunity to get utensils– I was told that it was “too late in the day” and that they didn’t have anymore. The person behind the counter actually made me feel like I was bothering him because I came in 45 minutes prior to closing. I wanted cabbage– I was advised that they will not have cabbage at least for the next month. He did, however, offer spinach as a replacement. I asked if I could sample it and was told “we don’t do that here.” While I’m exploring recipes from different cultures, never again will I step foot into this restaurant. As I look at the reviews NOW and see the responses from the CHOBAS, it makes me wonder why are all of the responses rude? How bout CHOBAS step up their game and respond in a way that they can accept criticism? Stop being defensive!! These reviews are from your customers….who keep you in business. You lost one here!!

The staff are super sweet and very pleasant, however, I’m Not sure why they are even open. They NEVER have a full menu, meaning they’re guantanteed to not have at least 3 items on the menu. I’ve been to this restaurant on several occasions wanting a particular dish (seperate dishes), and they did not have them. Something as simple as plaintains should always be available, especially if it’s featured on the menu. Unfortunately I will not be recycling my dollar at this establishment .

Chobas is the depth and variety that Waldorf needed in food options.

Visited this place over the weekend. I’m so glad we finally have an option for African food in the area. Specially when the food is sssooo good. Everything is fresh and the taste is excellent. You MUST try their puff-puffs, they are awesome. Will definitely be going back there soon!

Great customer service egusi could use pepper and more seasoning and a bit more spinach. The chicken was hard and dry. The flavor was bland. Fufu was perfect. I gave it 3 because the place came highly recommended.

The food is over priced for what you get. Ordered peanut soup it’s chicken. I got 2 chicken legs, white chicken ice and mixed vegetables. Not worth the $15.99. Enough food for 2 children. Not worth it….I can prepare at home and will do moving forward. I bought $45 worth of food that can barely fit 1 adult/teen/child.

Food was absolutely delicious!! This was my first time trying African cuisine and It did not disappoint. My only regret is that I don’t live closer lol. However this food is worth making the 1 hour and ten minute drive from my home to get it. I purchased the Okra and seafood stew, the Goat meat with spinach and fufu, the beef with spinach and fufu as well as the the fish with jollof rice and mixed vegetables. Everything was amazing! I would recommend trying this restaurant 100%.

Do not order to dine in, they are mainly an order to go place for decent service. You will also be waiting close to an hour for any order dine in. Egusi is decent, suya wings are the best thing to order, but jolloff is below average and seems rushed. No soups offered and the stew portion is small. Big thing for me and my family was the service for very average food. This is also a Nigerian restaurant Incase your looking for Ghanian cuisine of fufu, banku Okra, kenke, etc.
