Good BBQ pulled pork. The sides were really good too, I had the baked beans and coleslaw. For dessert we got the banana pudding. Highly recommend this restaurant.

So let me fall right in line with all the other reviews and say the food is good. I bought the pork sandwich and asked was it made with vinegar (because I dont like to taste vinegar), she said she actually didnt put as much as she normally does and that was great for me because I couldn’t taste it. Besides that it didn’t have any seasoning, but it was so very delicious even before adding the sauce. There was 3 different type of sauces, you pour on yourself (or put in container). One was sweet BBQ sauce like I like, another was like a liquid vinegar bbq sauce, and another smelt like it had mustard in it. Price is good, it’s $1 more than what they show on the menu inside but inflation is to be expected in this economy. My sandwich was $8 plus tax and came with a hefty amount of pulled pork, bun, and 2 hushpuppies (nice and sweet) made-to-order. I thoroughly enjoyed that meal. I sat out in the parkinglot to eat it. Let me be clear, this is a pick up restaurant inside of a gas station. There is 1 or maybe 2 tables, which are kinda in the way when people are actually occupying them. This was my 1st time there, I actually went out my way to get here based off the Google reviews and it didn’t fail me. A lady came up to my car selling strawberries, she occupies the grassy area by the gas station. Her strawberries are good too. Just wanted to add the shout out since she probably doesn’t get reviews. Anywho, try it for yourself. If I’m ever in the area again I will likely bring a friend and order the same thing.

I got to rate this excellent as far as barbecue goes. I like the fact that it was pulled pork not chopped very moist and tasty, has multiple sauces to boot for adding flavor. The hush puppies were tasty and extra crispy The onion rings were delicious and the coleslaw was cool and refreshing. It’s convenient near six forks and Old Wake Forest roads located inside a Shell gas station with some indoor and outdoor seating. You should give it a try it’s worth the trip.

So, I went to a family birthday gathering and the catering was done by the Chop Shop. I’d never heard of the place but the food was PHENOMENAL! Being a Mac and Cheese snob, I hafta say, theirs was AMAZING! Definitely calling upon them for my next gathering! The pulled pork, cowboy baked beans and slaw also deserve a shout out! I was so full I didn’t get a chance to try the Banana Pudding, but everyone said it was great too…

We did the catering for a family reunion recently. The service was perfect (even staying open to accommodate our late pick up time on Friday). The food was even better, somehow. Everyone at reunion said it was the best BBQ they have ever had (did the pull pork, chicken, mac and cheese (very delicious) beans and cucumber salad). All was cooked perfectly, on time and reasonably priced for the portions!

Good eating! I stopped at Costco to get gas on my lunch break and just did a search for food near me and this place popped up. The food was good and what really impressed me was the service. The guys were super nice and very attentive. They got my order and me back on the road quickly. The “cowboy beans” and the broccoli salad are phenomenal!

Get ready for a nap! OMG, you get so much food for the right price. The first things I was impressed with was the pricing! For just $12 you can get one meat, hush puppies, coleslaw, and two sides like banana pudding and Mac N Cheese. WOW!

Hands down the BEST pulled pork and Mac n cheese I’ve had in a long time. The owner and the young man working with him were amazing they truly do make you feel at home and take the extra time to talk to you while you wait for your scrumptious food. Definitely will be going back for more when we are In town.

Absolutely amazing good and even better service! The lady behind the register was incredibly sweet and the owner came out to shake hands. The pork was amazing but so we’re the hush puppies, cowboy beans (don’t skip these!), Mac and cheese and ‘nanner puddin’! Would absolutely recommend if you’re in the area, and it’s worth making a special trip over if you’re a bit of a distance away.
