Cute little bbq place in north Kansas City. Had the burnt end sandwich. Pretty good food overall but I still prefer my bbq to have the smokiness flavor. It’s a little expensive but I still think it’s worth trying. Customer service was very friendly and attentive.

Pulled pork is very tasty. Brisket was good, not great. I did not like the ribs. My husband ate them, but agreed they weren’t great either. Fries are fine. Coleslaw is heavy on onions and has bbq sauce added; not my cup of tea.

Ordered the Haagenslaw, absolutely over the top!!! Will not be disappointed, came with a couple pickled onions that were spectacular! Fried Okra was fantastic, please don’t ruin them with ranch (why would you do that ewww, not my cup of tea. Speaking of tea, I like mine sweet and theirs is just right with full tea taste and a lil sweet. For the coleslaw connoisseur theirs is phenomenal, fresh and with a little special house seasoning added. Don’t pass them up. The service is 5 star, Delaney was my server and embraces hospitality and customer service.

We were visiting family and were looking for a local BBQ spot. Found Chops and decided to give it a try. As we walked up i saw the cooking competition trophies in the window and that got me excited with anticipation. There was 7 of us in our party. Let’s just say that everyone agreed that this was the best BBQ any of has ever eaten. The fried pickles were by far the best i ever had. Never had fresh fried pork rinds before and those came out sizzling and delicious. The service was great too. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal or experience. Best of all we didn’t have to go all the way into KC to get good BBQ. People should be coming out to Chops for the good stuff.

BBQ, Staff and everything about this place gets 5 stars!! Friendly service from the moment you walk in the door. The food was hot and fresh. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and my husband had a half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese. Everything was drool worthy and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!

We stopped by here after a long bike ride at Smithfield lake. We love to check out independently owned businesses. It was absolutely delicious the coleslaw, baked beans, french fries and smoked meats were amazing! Can’t wait to come back and try the Burt end!

My in-laws (from Texas) dragged me here with the promise of “the best barbecue they’d ever had”. That’s a lot of hype to put on a small restaurant but after getting a large platter it definitely lived up to the hype! The staff was so kind and courteous, I have a toddler and she made an absolute mess and they were so sweet telling us not to worry about it and “that’s what they were there for”.
