Chowrastha – Indian Eatery was a bit chaotic when I visited on their second day after opening. It was evident that they were experiencing some growing pains as they adjusted to their new location and staff. However, I’ve enjoyed the food i ordered despite the delay.

For a newly opened restaurant they are doing very well. The location is right off 380 which doesn’t have many Desi restaurants so I expected it to be crowded, but there weren’t many there. The pani puri was the absolute best! It wasn’t too spicy and just right. I wish I could eat it again and again. The street style is missed by so many Desi folks having it here is an added bonus. We ordered bhel puri, idli and paneer butter masala (not pictured) and both were amazing.

Not satisfied with the Dosa. Sambar was awesome. Even the coconut chutney is not good. But the tomato chutney and ginger chutney was good. When I visited Idly was not available and they said will be ready in 20 mins, same with puri. The ambience is good. Staff are friendly. The dosas are making on electric dosa pan, so they made so thin and it become hard within few minutes. I don’t recommend dosa.

This place is great. I am a novice when it comes to East Indian Cuisine, limited to buffet styles, so I was lost when looking at the menu. Thankfully, our server was kind, patient, and very resourceful. I will be back.

Recently, my wife and I had a delightful dining experience here. At 38 weeks pregnant, my wife had a craving for chicken starters, which we ordered. To our surprise, the person at the counter approached us and let us know that the dishes we had selected weren’t suitable. He kindly offered to prepare freshly cooked alternatives, which was incredibly thoughtful of him. Thank you!!!
