First time eating here for our family and will definitely not be back. The food was less than mediocre. I got the pork plate with baked beans, okra and potato salad. The potato salad was disgusting. The baked beans were edible. The pork was flavorless and dry. What made it worse was the so called bbq sauce. The best part of the whole meal was the fries my husband and daughter got with their sandwich, even though they were cold.

Honestly, I’m being generous based on the quality of the meat and the smell when you walk in this place. Yummy. That said, the vinegar base of their BBQ is way too much for me, but that’s a preference and no reflection on quality or product.

Ordered a kids plate with 2 sides and the baste was horrible! The ribs were burnt and the sauce that was on it was no better!! This is a Small grilled chicken salad and the cost is $10!! Highly disappointed! I know small, but this is more of a side salad.

OK . . . my wife and I retired and moved to the Prattville area four months ago. We happened upon Chris’ BBQ after a trip to the “big city” side of town. Best Brisket I’ve had in years. Wife love the ribs. We go at least once a month, sometimes more. Go after 1pm, avoid the lunch rush, but no matter what, you’ll enjoy that food. Veggies are fresh house cooked, everything we’ve eaten is the best. Wife says avoid the Iced Tea . . . We’ll go back next week, for certain. Try their “dirty BBQ sauce”. We took some home. Wife and I can both cook – and good at it – this place saves us the time around the smoker. Well done folks. We aren’t easy to please.

We stopped by on Saturday got 2 to go orders , the sandwiches were cold , but whatever they put on them burned our mouths and afterwards had terrible indigestion, lasted till Sunday morning , I had eaten there back 4 yrs ago an never had any issues , maybe they should change the sauce they use ..

I’ve been eating at Chris’s for over 20 years. The food is excellent. The prices are a little high, But the service is absolutely horrible. I’ve waited 30 minutes to get my food sitting in the restaurant. The the fastest I’ve ever gotten my food is 12 minutes. It’s barbecue, comma that is already cut slow that is already made be made. All you have to do is plate it. I ordered a breakfast sandwich to pick up the restaurant. I arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes after I made the call, then waited another 10 minutes in drive-through.. I ended up leaving believing even after paying for a sandwich I did not receive. This is ridiculous.

I ordered a rib plate with 3 sides. The ribs had little to no meat on them what i could get was mainly fatty parts and they were burnt on one end. The sides were fries which you really can’t mess up… mash and gravy were good along with the cheese sticks. So overall the stars are for the sides. Sorry but I will not be returning.

The breakfast is good, even though I wouldn’t order the French toast (I prefer thick bread for french toast)
