Out of towner speaking here… was looking for a good place to sit down and work for 3-4 hours. Coffee was good and service was fast. The atmosphere was interesting but the longer I observed the more lacking it became. Instead of playing movies loudly on the TV you should consider some soft coffee shop music, possibly even Christmas themed. People come in to have conversations, read, relax or work. Playing a movie is not conducive to this. From my 3-4 hours there the place was hardly visited but a few of the tables were dirty and the floor/carpets were as well. I personally love the Christmas theme but I would embrace a simpler version. Be intentional about where decorations are posted, how you hang your lights (and turn them on so people know you are open), remove the blinds and embrace the massive beautiful windows you have. Really could be a nice place to enjoy in Vassar (without much else around) but unfortunately McDonald’s became a better place to work. I did appreciate the free Wi-Fi, the friendly and fast service and the coffee. You have a beautiful building and a great idea, it just needs better execution.

Everytime I stop by they are closed. I have been wanting to try this place for a while and have made sure I’m stopping by during business hours (the ones posted on Facebook August 21st) I’ll gladly update my review after actually being able to visit if they havent permanently closed.

I wouldn’t bother. I went in to get a chai latte, which they offered, but it tasted marginally better than a powdered mix I can get at any big box store. I also was in the mood for a fresh baked good, but literally the only baked goods they have on offer are made by little Debbie and sold in plastic packaging. If you want anything like that, you’re better off popping over to Frankenmuth and going to one of the coffee shops there, or stopping into Kroger and getting 10x the amount for what you pay here.

I recently accepted a job in Reese and I was devastated when I realized there was not a Starbucks near by. I was told to stop at Christmas Cafe and wow I was not disappointed. It’s so good! And the younger guy who typically works in the morning is always so nice and cheerful. Definitely makes my mornings great. Keep being incredible.
