Last year we celebrated our Anniversary at Christopher’s in Draper. The meal & service was amazing. We so loved it that we wanted to celebrate again this year with them. The experience was a night & day difference & we have since regretted our choice.

We were expecting a really nice experience since we have been to Christopher’s in the downtown area for my sons wedding. We went to redeem a birthday certificate and learned that the name of the restaurant had changed but same owners. The hostess was very friendly and informative. They let us redeem the Christopher’s certificate and that was the only good thing we experienced at this restaurant. The waitress was rude and was not friendly at all. We wondered if we could exchange a salad for the side item and she was royally ticked after we asked. She honored the request but I think she hates waiting tables because she gave us the glare down and cold shoulder immediately after. A different job would be in order for her. My husband ordered the NY steak as medium it came out over done and was a poor quality cut with no seasoning. He did not receive his corn that came with the dinner either. No ice in the drinks when everyone else had ice. Poorly done at this restaurant. Will never return.

We are frequent diners at the downtown Christophers location. We recently had dinner at the Draper location and let me tell you, the difference in overall experience between the two is night and day. When I think ‘Christophers’ I think of extremely well trained wait staff, amazing service, and the best steaks in town. We don’t mind paying the higher prices because of the AMAZING treatment we receive from the staff. That was not at all the experience we had at the Draper location.

I am extremely disappointed I wasted my money at the SLC location.

My husband and I have eaten at the Draper location a few times. Every time the food and the service has been good. The last time we went I ordered the steak well done. Yes, I understand that steak people hate that. Yes, I understand that the chefs were probably horrified to receive that order. However, that is what I ordered. My husband ordered a medium steak, perfectly cooked according to him. My steak came out blue. Not cooked. Not even closed to cooked. I sent it back. I was polite. It was not my waiters fault. He brought it back still more rare than my husbands medium. What is this saying? The chefs cannot cook or that they refused to cook what I asked for? Something to think about…

Went there to try it out, and I’ll never go there again. Me and my girlfriend both got New York Strip. It was cooked pretty good, but we both had to cut and inch wide strip off of just hard chewy fat. N I left hungry? And our cherry lemonades were just small glasses with no refills for $3.49 each. Who sells a lemonade this small for that price with no refills? Maybe if it was alcoholic or something, but it wasn’t. I’ve had better fries out of a freezer bag. The appetizer was great, it was a stuffed mushroom thing. In the end the bill was over $80 for 1 appetizer, 2x 12 oz steaks, some fries, and 1 glass of lemonade each. To top it all off, I had to ask to get my water refilled. Thank goodness I had a KSL deal voucher that gave me $25 off. But it still was a rip off even after that discount. I’ve had much better steaks and service at other places that were cheaper. For the record, I’m not saying all this because I’m cheap. I still tipped the waitress $10 even though she didn’t deserve it.

I went to this steakhouse with 14 people for my dad’s birthday. We had an excellent meal, the waiter was great. They gave us two servers in a private dining room. When it came time to pay, each couple was paying for themselves. Each couple had previously purchased happenings books for the salt lake area, so everybody had a coupon for the steakhouse. When we tried to use these coupons, the manager was rude and very offensive stating that just because we sat in the same private dining room, they would not accept our coupons. If we had all sat at different tables in the restaurant, it would have been perfectly acceptable for all of us to use the coupons which they advertised in the happenings book. Nowhere on these coupons does it say only one coupon per table. We will move our family partys to another steakhouse from now on. Its too bad because the restaurant is never busy and has a nice atmosphere. Too bad its the manager that ruins the entire experience. If you want to use your happenings book, don’t bother with this restaurant. You can get better food and service at another steakhouse in Salt Lake.

My wife and I took two of our neighbors ladies out for what we thought would be a nice dinner out. We arrived at 6:25 pm and were seated. We had a reservation and had run copy of the early bird specials from the internet that were to go until 7:00pm. Our server told us we were mistaken, after we had been assured twice over the phone that we were correct. The attitude was terrible, the service was terrible, and the food was over-spiced and not presented well. No offer to talk to a supervisor, just poor service, poor food and a bill. Will not be returning. Save your money!, much better values in the valley.

Tuesday date night was just terrific at Christophers in Draper. My husband had the bacon wrapped filets and I had the chipotle medallions. Thank goodness there was so much food that I could bring some home for an additional treat. Nikki, our server was nice enough to get me some extra chipotle sauce. As always the atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful, and the service was especially good. I love being able to chat with our server about the wine which we usually bring from our own rack. Thank you Christophers for such a nice night.

Our reservations were for 7:15 and we were seated at 7:45. Food was not hot; in fact, the potatoes were cold. Flavor was good but not outstanding. Server never came back to see if we were pleased or to see if we needed refills. Inordinate amount of time between salad and entree. And on top of that they added a 19% gratuity for a party of two. We normally give 20% and I resent it when a restaurant takes it upon themselves to put the gratuity in without even asking if we were pleased with the service and food. The service and the food did not warrant a 19% tip!
