Perfect cafe before getting your shopping done at HEB next door. This place is clean with the nicest staff. You MUST try their house coffee…I was surprised at how smooth and frothy their black coffee tasted. I look forward to having a sip before grocery shopping. Their portions are enough to fill you up. I recommend the spicy fried eggplant plate, my mom and I love it! Their white rice is perfectly sticky It’s a little on the pricier side, but the quality speaks for itself. Can’t wait to go back to HEB just so I can stop by for a bite!

Quiet spot for great Szechuan style food. I tried the Dan Dan noodles and the spicy cucumber salad. Even though they were promoted as small plates, I had to take the left overs to go. The cucumber salad was fresh and very spicy! The Dan Dan noodles were served warm with a chopped pork and a light peanut sauce. Both dishes were perfect for lunch. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and the staff very friendly.

A family run restaurant. They are located next to H-E-B that helps in some footfalls as well.

A cultural gem in Spring, TX. Sichuan food is known for their spicy oils. In that context, it can be a little surprising for a western palette.

Today I ordered takeouts (1) Garlic Shredded Pork and (2) Beef Tendon & Tripe in Red Chill Sauce off the menu on website. When I arrived home and open one container, I saw I got chicken instead of beef tendon and tripe. I drove back to the restaurant, told the owner I don’t eat chicken at all and asked him if he can exchange to the right dish, he said I used information on a wrong menu so they are not responsible. Ok. I don’t blame him and I left. When I was back home again, I found no rice in the takeout. But when I was placing the order on phone, I specifically asked if they come with white rice and he said yes. I did not want to spend another 30 mins drive back and forth again, so I cooked rice myself. When rice was ready, I opened both takeout containers, I saw Garlic Shredded Pork was hard pork meat in dark sauce. Ouch. It does not look like what I ordered again at all, and this dish definitely is on their menu, and I absolutely did not make an error when ordering it. I know Sichuan food very well, the authentic Garlic Shredded Pork should be tender pork of its original color in chilly garlic oil. I had a bite, it tasted awful, nothing like what it should be. Very disappointed, though I was very hungry, I could not eat them. I threw both dishes in trash. Later I had instance noodle instead. I have taken my family and friends to eat there about 3 times before. Though every time I had encountered one issue or another, I understood it is not easy to run a small restaurant business and wanted to be supportive and I always left nice tips. But this time it gave me the worst experience. I will not go back there again. Sorry, this is the first time I posted a negative review.

We were in Spring and got really hungry. We looked up a few places and felt like we wanted some Szechuan food and was very skeptical. Like what? Spring, Texas? Of all places?!

This was my first time dining in. Normally, I call in an order and drive off to eat it at home like the introverted gremlin I am. Atmosphere is more “pop in for a bite” than date night anyway, but the server was so friendly and really listened to what I wanted when I asked for a recommendation. I have to say, he got it spot on! I ordered the Rattan Pepper Chicken and I feel really pretentious saying it, but it was one of the most complex and beautiful dishes I’ve had in a long time. I’ve had other dishes from here that were a solid “good”, but if you’re looking for your Szechuan “comfort” dish, try asking for a recommendation. You may find a happy surprise!
