I ordered a salad, but they just covered it with way too much cheese. Even though I love cheese, that was an absurdly large amount. Plus the fries were cold. didn’t eat any of it. Money wasted. Salad, 1/4 sub, and fries cost $24 dollars.

Probably an unpopular opinion as well, but I’d make sure to check your salad before you leave. We ordered 2 baked spaghetti plates, one with a side salad to go. The spaghetti was great, salad not so much. The lettuce was brown and slimey. I was very upset, no call was made to complain,we live about 30 minutes from location, so I just threw it in the trash. Lesson learned, never again!

I know this is a local favorite, and my opinion will not be popular, but I am going to be honest. The youth that are working the counter are awesome, friendly, and seem to know what is going on. The only issue is with the food, I ordered the date night combo pepperoni pizza with two side salads and a personal pepperoni pizza with a side of fries for my son. It took quite a while to come out from the kitchen. I am not sure why because I am sure the pizza was pre-made. It was a To-go order when we got home. we found the frys were still froze and the pizza was thoroughly cooked but cold in the center. In other words, the cheese was melted and had a nice golden top where it was at some point cooked, but had been either sitting somewhere for a long time or stored in the fridge. Maybe this was just a chance happening, but there you go. Sorry to all the Chubby’s fans.

The salads are great. But the charges aren’t so much…I paid cash and was charged .74 for paying credit, but I paid cash! They said they took it off but if you can add correctly you can see it was charged back to the bill. She said the government was doing it but I paid cash at another restaurant today wasn’t given a cash discount nor was I charged one either…check your receipts before you leave!

I got my first calzone at Chubby’s in Baton on 6/11/19. This is what it looked like. Hardly anything inside it…mostly bread. If you want a GOOD calzone go to Italy Grill in Lenoir. But the chef salad was good.
