My sister and I vistited the Chuck Wagon this past Monday. I have been wanting to visit this restaurant since leaving home (Livermore Falls, Maine), over 30 years ago. This wonderful restaurant holds the most precious and sacred memories to me as a child growing up, as my grandmother would bring us to the Chuck Wagon for breakfast a few times a week. I remember the waitresses would let us play the juke box, and bring us cups of hot cocoa topped with whipped cream.

Amazing time… Absolutely a must to try… Great food, drinks, and Employees., Very Clean Friendly Atmosphere, Everyone was very Courtesy and Professional and We where asked often if you needed Anything. Centrally located on The Main Street .. Which makes the Location Perfect. Dishes where very clean, tables, floors and Restroom was Very Clean smelled clean but not a strong cleaning smell … But pleasant clean smell and Clean in General. I highly recommend this Restaurant to Anyone looking for a fine dining experience or looking for a home cooked type meal, or you just want a Great burger… or Steak.. or whatever. Fine dining at a fractionof the Cost. . I give it 5 Stars .

My only problem was that they barely give any fries with their fresh haddock filet sandwich and seemed like half a handful of fries but overall the quality wasn’t bad and the fish sandwich was okay but definitely need to step up their fries

We may have been a little more rambunctious than the rest of the patrons, but none of the other customers nor the waitstaff gave any side eye. (I appreciated that considering I was the one *trying* to keep my family a little quieter.) The food was great and the service was good. The waitress worked hard to get my vegetarian sister’s food right and it was perfect (gold star, lady!). It might have been a little slow, but that’s why we ended up with a second round of drinks. It looked like they may have been doing more takeout than seated service. The kitchen was very full of staff. Everything about this restaurant brings back memories of years and years of going with my family. The decor is updated but also holds many of the staples (sad the wagon wheels are gone from the chandeliers) I remember my entire life. If you want to go to a local restaurant that is fully entwined in a community that has great service and food, this is the one. The cowboy theme still makes me smile. And cactus chicken is still my favorite thing on the menu! Close runner up is the Paradis burger.

Walk back in time by visiting the Chuck Wagon. I love this place. There’s no place like it. A hometown restaurant that serves a decent meal at a decent price. The waitresses are super. Check out my picture of the famous Red Eye Lounge. By the way… Their prime rib is fantastic!

The Chuck Wagon! Very unique decor inside the restaurant with mostly locally sourced lumber (I think), the business started in 1967. The waitress was very nice and running the show by herself. Menu items were very reasonably priced and food was good for what it is. Good quick stop point for a meal.

Pretty much everything was good, actually very good. From the Caesar salad and dinner rolls to the main meal. Mary had fish and chips and I had fried haddock shrimp and scallops. All the fried food was lightly battered and cooked to perfection, very tasty and moist. Mary usually doesn’t like french fries but she ate every single one of these. The waitress was very friendly an answered all of our questions pleasantly. All the food came out right on time. We would definitely recommend the Chuck Wagon.

We went to dinner and order are food and when it came the burgers were black and I mean black when we told them the waitress was rude an gave us a big and I mean a big attitude and then tried saying we wanted it then started treating us like crapp and we didn’t do nothing wrong if I could have done a no star I would have ,even my kids meals which were burgers were also black burnt !!! Completely disrespect and also waitress allowed other customers to harass me and my daughter also notice dried old nasty food in the cracks of the booth we was sitting at , called health inspectors and left messages with my concerns
