Walking up to the establishment you don’t think it’s anything special. Once you step inside that idea is proved wrong. The woman behind the counter is very welcoming and the cook/owner is very personable as well. Owned and operated by a veteran they do offer a “hero” discount. The food is very reasonably priced and very good. I had the cheese steak and side winders and recommend whole heartedly. The cheese steak is served on a bun rather than typical roll and the change is welcomed. The side winders are like potato wedges reinvented. A sure bonus is the fact that all the beef is Cattleman’s brand. I have yet to try the donuts but will surely make my way there soon.

The Jailhouse burger and Philly sandwich are both delicious. The beer battered “sidewinders” aka fries were fantastic, and the house made chips were really tasty. Will be going back to explore more of the menu! Me and my friend chose to eat outside as we felt it was too warm to be comfortable inside and it was beautiful evening.

This place is amazing. I had the Buford’s brisket. Very tender and juicy. The sidewinder fries are to die for. They also sell small batch beer cheese. Veteran owned and operated.

This place is great the prices are 8$-12$ for most meals. It has that small time punch and itade me love it! The only thing is the seating is pretty limited and as it grows in populatirty which I’m sure it will may it at become hard to find a seat. But the food was amazing and the portions were insane one of my favorite places in Versailles for sure

Just finally tried Chuck’s! Why did we wait so long? It was perfect for a quick bite. Great food, very friendly staff and owner, clean and very relaxed atmosphere. We will go back and take the kids. Glad to have this place in our town!

Ok. First, let’s just take a moment and reminicse: You have Main Street USA. You have a hardware store that has more useful bobbles tucked away in there than Fibber MaGee’s Closet (google it kiddos), And right next door you have HOMEMADE YEAST DONUTS cinnamon Rolls and Apple Fritters!! A real small town donut shop. But don’t stop there–it is also a hole in the wall cafe. The fries cut from potatoes, not dumped from a plastic bag delivered from a truck, were delish. Fresh, hot, large portion. The burger was tasty and well seasoned, large and dressed out with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, cheese choices. The tea was good. (Didn’t taste like that vending machine type. May have been fresh brewed.) The guys were attentive and friendly. Can I get back to the image of going to the hardware store with grampa and then next door to get a donut? A new generation will get to have these memories!! And THAT is what gets them 5 stars.
