Was traveling through & stopped for lunch. It was weird that there are 2 doors to get in but the nice door was closed. We noticed the 2nd, very old door as we were leaving. Looked like a dive restaurant, but we were ok with that. The burgers were good & fresh. Pricing on bill didn’t match menu. Menu said burger with fries but was charged on the bill. They also charge a card use fee, we had no idea since that was not posted anywhere. Server was nice but couldn’t understand why we questioned our bill. I can’t stand going somewhere where I feel I was ripped off. Sorry but will keep driving next time.

It’s just your typical Iowa Main Street bar and grill as far as atmosphere, but the food is delicious. Try the battered fish or shrimp-the recipe hasn’t changed in 30+ years and I hear they’re working on being able to sell it in stores this fall. Go try it before you can buy it and you’ll be hooked.

Nice place. The bar area was a bit cold for me. They only served pizza the hours I was there. I did notice the dinner menu included prime rib. Call ahead for times and specials. Friendly staff.

OMG, to die for the ribs for yrs when Judy n Chuck owned the place eons ago. Salad bar, soup n the rib meal delight with a few cocktails to go along with it all; not to mention the great hospitality and friendly atmosphere. Been there 1 time since his son(name)n daughter in law bought the place. Same great food, service n hospitality. Place looks wonderful.

Food is great- highly recommend the prime rib on Saturday nights! Their Fish is excellent too! Very friendly staff and service was excellent. It’s obvious the new owners are making lots of changes/upgrades.
