A great restaurant in Central filled with personality, warmth, and love. The food is very flavorful, albeit the portions can be a bit small. I ordered the black rice with baked salmon dish and the balance of textures and flavors was wonderful. The hibiscus cold brew iced tea was a nice touch on a warm day, and the passion fruit reduction yogurt was a great dessert to top things off. The restaurant is entirely self-service – you order at the bar and bring back to your seat. The interior is cozy and elegant. I will definitely be back!

clean plate club!!!! what an amazing spot with food to match – wonderful experience eating our meal and also with the staff! Really lovely outdoor seating. If you see a line when you show up, it moves quick and it’s so worth it. Left feeling satisfied & happy.

The coffee here is fantastic and I enjoyed the food. The strawberry pastry was excellent. The Banh Mi was a bit salty for me but overall good. I was disappointed I couldn’t try the Duck Pho noodle soup as it’s a dinner item. Generally, serve was good and the kitchen was pretty fast in getting food and drinks out. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the store; it gave me tropical vibes. They are a self-serve restaurant so put away your dishes.

This is my new go to place for exceptionally nice Vietnamese style coffees! Incredibly nice staff as they gave this egg coffee on the house! I would recommend hitting this place either just when they open, or later in the afternoon due to long waiting lines to order/sit down (especially on the weekends).

The place has a lot of potential, but I don’t think it can keep up with the demand. The staff were tired and almost everything ran out. The coffee tasted good, but sadly there was a hair in it. One of our orders was wrong. The salmon was too salty. Overall, it wasn’t worth the wait, but the vibes were good.

I’m all for elevated ethnic food, but at the end of the day, I can’t help but think Cicada is too pricey for me. It’s hella yummy and filling but I personally cannot justify $17 for veggies over rice at a cafe.

I came here years ago and had to come back for their fresh salmon noodle bowl. It had the best sauce in noodles I’ve ever had! Super memorable. Unfortunately, they didn’t have this on the menu anymore. Super disappointing. I got the baked salmon noodle bowl this time. The noodles and sauce were just like before super tasty but I just don’t enjoy cooked salmon as much as fresh salmon. I hope they bring the fresh options back in the future. Coffee was great as always.

This place is a little small, but overall very cute. Staff were friendly but you do go up and order yourself and bus your own table. Food was good, my black rice was a little crunchy but other than that this place is really delicious! Also, the green papaya salad is a must try if you go!

A small bar style restaurant with a simple menu. They serve Vietnamese fusion dishes, some familiar and some not so much.

We ordered the salmon pho (top) and the mushroom black rice (bottom). Both very good but the pho was definitely better. The whole setup of ordering is a little complicated though. You order at the front even after you have been seated. Food is also placed at the front to be picked up. And you should also bus your food after. Doesn’t ruin the experience, it’s just a little confusing. Finally, I have heard their coffee is very good, although I did not get any I look forward to trying it in the future.
