Great Mexican restaurant that allows dogs. We were traveling through Redding and stopped here twice for dinner. The food and service were fantastic. We were allowed to bring our dog Ollie on to the outdoor patio . They even have a special dog menu. Ollie got the Bow Wow chicken dinner. He loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First time dining here. Stopped in for dinner. We were greeted immediately and we chose a table on the patio. We ordered drinks and chips and salsa, for starters. After our drinks arrived, we ordered our dinners. The food arrived after a reasonable wait time. Serving size and temperature were perfect, for my liking. The food was very good. Good flavor and seasoning. Service was good and prices were as expected. I enjoyed our experience here and will likely return. I also enjoyed the atmosphere.

Great food and service. If you don’t know me, I drink a lot of water, and they look empty my glass full all of the time. They have outdoor seating now and a cool breeze was blowing.

I’ve only been here a handful of times, but each time it’s been great. The food has ranged from good to great. A bit on the pricier side, but at least the food tastes fresh. Recently, we went there for their Sunday morning all you can drink mimosas. They had a nice setup where you could get refills, where I personally met the owner who thanked me for supporting the business. I love the kindness of the staff, and our waitress was very nice and patient when making food recommendations. I would recommend Cicada Cantina for their Thursday night clubs or just a nice evening supper!

Long story short, this was my husbands and I’s first date without the little one in a loooonnnng time. It smelled great going in! I don’t usually expect much going out anymore, but honestly… this was the best place in town. The food was freaking amazing and the presentation and service was too! Not a place that we’d go to on a routine night out (cost wise) but we will be coming back! Thank you for a great start to an amazing date night with the hubby!

Was meeting friends here for dinner. The live band made conversation challenging. We were not aware that there was going to be live music the night we all planned dinner. Food and service was fantastic.

I expected it to be an Americanized version of Mexican food and it definitely was. The salsa was good and had a note of black pepper that I really enjoy. My husband’s barbacoa enchilada was really good. Our daughter kept stealing bites from his plate. Their kids meal chicken tenders were really great, too! Good quality for a kids meal. They get four stars because I got a chile relleno and it is literally the first time I’ve ever actively not liked a chile relleno. I don’t know if it was the cheese blend, the sauce, or both; but I couldn’t eat it. The black beans were flavorless, so I ate my rice and picked off my family’s plates. I wanted to give five stars, but I just can’t. I’ll probably go back one more time because my family had good meals, but what a bummer about the chile relleno. 🙁

1st time at this restaurant, really enjoyed it. Loved that they’re so dog friendly on the patio & my very picky dog actually ate the grilled chicken breast from their puppy menu.
