We were in town for 3 nights and ate at Cilantro’s 2 of the 3 nights. The service is fast and friendly! The food was great on both nights. They were very accommodating when I asked to replace the mushrooms with other veggies. I highly recommend Cilantro’s and we will be back the next time we visit Smith Mountain Lake!

This has to be on everybody’s bucket list on the lake and it will be your go-to restaurant for excellent food service and atmosphere. We went during Cinco de Mayo and I could not believe the service, every single hostess and server went out of their way to make sure the patrons were taken care of and satisfied with the service.

Absolutely the best Mexican food in Moneta/Westlake area! Don’t be fooled and waste your time anywhere else (especially the waterfront ones). Being from CA we know Mexican food (the good, bad and the ugly) and this restaurant prepares fresh, authentic, well prepared high-quality dishes. Mixed Drinks are done right…not watered down or intentionally made without alcohol as found in other Mexican restaurants in Moneta. The staff is extremely nice, courteous, knowledgeable and attentive – again a unique find compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Atmosphere is very comfortable, absolutely clean with authentic music making it a very enjoyable experience. The ownership, management and staff take real pride in everything they do – and it shows. A real gem and a welcome addition to the area.

My wife and I wanted to try this place since we moved here in November. I decided to get take out on our way to an event. It was about 4:30 and didn’t have a lot of time to wait. I was greeted at the door, I asked for a paper menu and was given one with the comment, “we would be happy to prepare anything for take out.

This was our first meal at Cilantro. Even though it was very busy, we only waited a few minutes to be seated. We were immediately greeted by 4 different servers/hosts that offered to take our drink order. I got the homemade sangria, which was made by our hostess and was delicious. I ordered the seafood chimichanga and my husband also got a seafood dish. We got our food very quickly; it was plentiful and tasty. Prices are reasonable. For us, the best part of the experience was the wonderful service.

Brought my son for dinner. The service and food are top quality. I had chipotle chicken and rice with steamed veggies. The chicken had a great texture cooked on a hot grill and juicy. Chipotle sauce was thick and flavorful paired well with mushrooms. Rice was flavorful and was cooked with good moisture/texture.
