First and foremost, the waitress’s service was outstanding. Currently, the food was awful. The fried pork chunks were overdone to the point of being as hard as a rock. Boston butt was already baked in the oven before being sliced into pieces and fried. Garlic flavor was overpowering in the mofongo. There was absolutely no seasoning. When I offered the cook constructive criticism, she reacted with some attitude. I’m a Puerto Rican who enjoys cooking and feels guilty when I try to make other people feel better.

The worst Spanish food I’ve ever had! Clearly the Latino community is supporting this business… much respect! But the food was horrible! And I’ve gotten bigger portions in the Dominican Republic. For 17.00 you’d think I’d get enough food to at least fill the container they provided . Stay away!

What can I say? The very best Puerto Rican restaurant in New Jersey hands down, no competition. The service is beautiful, waitress remembers your name, your order – even when you call in advance. Calling in advance is recommended if you’re in a rush, if not – stick around to listen to authentic Puerto Rican music and the scent of cooked food. The food made with LOVE, you can taste the joy. Perfectly cooked to the way you want it. The portions are right and the price is EXACTLY what brings you back (too good to be true!). Restaurant is clean filled with authentic Puerto Rican decor that’s even for sale. Outdoor seating looks fun during the summer times. In a span of the last six months living in NJ, I went here about two times week. This restaurant has the potential to be the hallmark for boricua everywhere!

Long wait times. Food was tasty. Just needlessly over salted. No authentic Puerto Rican flavors. Just salty food. Not impressed. Bread was top notch and pastries were good. Had pork sandwich. Service is slow and incomplete. Needs improvement.

The food here is delicious! It might take a minute but it’s absolutely worth the wait, just call ahead of time! The owner is amazing and everything you get from here is as fresh and authentic as it gets! The fritters, the meats, the rice OMG 100 stars!

I’m glad to have this spot in the area. I miss home-cooked food. The people are sweet and energetic. I can tell how much love they put into making the food. Every time I eat here I think of home.
