Love this place. Nachos and guac were great, super generous portion of fajitas – steak, shrimp, and chicken – all delicious. Unique selection of margaritas, all of which sound wonderful, and the Paloma surely is. We’ll be back.

Went to Cilantro for the first time tonight and tried the chicken burrito and the spinach and corn enchiladas. Enchiladas were great and burrito was good, but I wish I could pick a different sauce. It was self-seating which was perfectly fine. We did have to ask for napkins and didn’t receive menus, but we just looked up the menu online and ordered after. The guacamole was good too and you can pick the heat level (mild, medium, hot) and the medium definitely has a kick. It seemed like there was only one waitress working so we totally understand and were patient. Check it out, pretty cool place.

Cilantro’s Neighborhood Cantina is a special place for my husband and me, and we wish we could give it more than the maximum rating stars, not only for the quality of the food but for the exceptional people there. We have gone to Cilantro’s on numerous occasions since it first opened in Glenelg, MD and have enjoyed all of the Latin delicacies they have to offer (it’s scratch-made Latin food, not your typical Mexican taco joint). The reason we kept going back in addition to the food was because of the customer service from both Emily and Blake at the bar. No two people make you feel more special than they do. Well, here comes COVID-19 and we have been on lock down at home for six months with nowhere to go for our 35th wedding anniversary in September. We wanted a special experience and immediately thought of Cilantro’s so we talked to Emily to reserve their outdoor seating area and requested a special five-course surprise meal made by the chef/owner, Mr. Yampier Santana. They not only accommodated us but decorated the area for us with flowers and gifts, had our favorite libations at the ready (checking with us in advance to see what we wanted to drink) and then presented the MOST AMAZING six-course meal. Yampier outdid himself and presented an incredible array of delicacies where he was able to showcase his prowess of culinary mastery, and Emily made us feel like the term “VIP” was nothing compared to how we were treated. The Butternut Squash Soup, Scallops with Polenta, Chicken Tamale with Mole Sauce, Beet and Avocado Salad, Sea Bass with Cilantro Rice, and an incredible dessert of Fried Donuts and Plantains with Custard were to die for. We did not feel rushed at all, we felt safe in this environment, and knew that they exceeded our expectations in delivering a special experience for us. If you want a quick carry-out meal, a seat outside for a peaceful dinner experience, or a special occasion experience, they will not let you down. Without reservation we highly recommend Cilantro’s Neighborhood Cantina and their exceptional staff and owner. We feel like part of the “Cilantro’s family” and I hope they have a long-lasting stay here in Glenelg, MD.

This place is really really good. Every member of my family loved their meals. Whoever is the chef knows how to make food. This food was exceptional. A little place you might not consider but it is a gem. I drive by a number of times finally tried it. Now it is my favorite place.

Hidden gem! Must try if you are in the area. Flavorful Caribbean cousine at great prices. Tried their ropa vieja with cilantro rice and sweet plantain. The churro donuts were to die for. Service and portion sizes were great. Servers were super nice. Definitely will be visiting again.

Food with excellent value. Menu is excellent with a multitude of choices. Loved our visit except for one thing: the boxes that we asked for were just flung into the middle of the table and the check dropped into the food. The waiter said it was was his first week at the restaurant.

I came here for the first time yesterday and the bar tender Miriam was so kind and made me want to stay longer! usually, bar tenders don’t have conversations and don’t really care about the customers but wow this woman amazed me. Definitely will be coming back.

Ordinarily, this place serves up some really great dishes. I ordered a large cantina nachos to enjoy at home with friends and beers. Unfortunately, it was baked all together in casserole style; chips were soft and unshareable. Not-so nachos.

Hidden gem, we lost our way and stopped at this place for lunch. It has outdoor patio seating as well. We had Achiote Citrus Salmon & Mahi Mahi tacos. The salmon was excellent & cooked to perfection, the achiote sauce on top was so good. My husband says he never tasted salmon this tasty ever. Even the cilantro rice was flavorful. The tacos were nice, nothing exceptional there. The service was great, Thank you Cilantro, see you .

One of the best first time restaurant experiences EVER! After reading the story about Cilantro’s Neighborhood Cantina on their wonderful website, we decided that it sounded like just the kind of restaurant that we would enjoy. Since it was a beautiful evening, we sat in the outdoor patio and after a very nice conversation and recommendation of someone who was obviously a very pleased regular customer, we ordered a Tuna Poke Guacamole appetizer and Cochinita Pibil which was described as achiote-orange braised pork shank that is served with cilantro rice, refried beans, habanero slaw and side of flour tortillas. Both dishes were absolutely amazing and for the rest of the evening and into the next day, we both spontaneously commented at how amazing the food was and that we can’t wait to go back for more. Emily was our server and could not have been more welcoming and attentive. We can’t recommend this wonderful restaurant more highly.
