I like trains and food, so I thought that this would be a natural, and for the most part, it was. I booked the Silver Sword car and requested a table for 2, which we were seated at next to the bar. I thought that the prime rib was good, as was the accompanying side, salad, and dessert. The service was friendly and very attentive. The only downside, which others have mentioned, was the lack of scenery. There was a guide to point out history and landmarks, but railroad tracks in an urban area tend to be industrial and/or trash collectors. Since the return trip is in the dark, depending on when you go, it’s really only a factor on half of the trip.

Dine while you ride, MotherDay/Birthday gift…I couldn’t imagine a passenger train that has fine dining in Cincinnati ……Well I soon found out!!!! What a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere was awesome and imagine being in that era of time ( especially when some dressed for the occasion)! Food was good, my family of course was great, servers were awesome, the singers they song a tune that my mom use to sing , and the conductor was a joy he kept us laughing… so if you would like the experience book now because the wait is probably 2 months, and yes I’m going again!!

Absolutely the best experience you can ever have. Add this to your bucket list. Very awesome people. The train is always clean and very nice atmosphere! Love the music. Takes you back to the 50s and 60s The Queen City Sister’s make a great concert also. Highly recommended!!!!

After a mix up with gift certificates it was a very enjoyable evening! Everyone was extremely helpful, food was very good (better than we have had in quite a few restaurants lately). Train was clean and comfortable. A color brochure was on every table with info and pictures. Only downside was being able to hear the conductor when he gave his tidbits of info. Overall, definitely something to consider for a fun, different night out!

I think this is a neat one time experience and a unique date night. In regards to the food, the appetizer was good with a cheese spread, crackers and grapes. However, everything else was bad hospital quality food. The green beans disintegrated in your mouth they were so mushy. I had salmon and absolutely do not recommend. My husband had the prime rib which was better, however it was over seasoned with cumin. The service is wonderful, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is great and it was interesting to hear history about Cincinnati. The view from the train is not scenic, however it was nice to spend the time with good company and conversation.

Atmosphere was great, food did not meet my expectations for the price, but the service was excellent. I was also disappointed that the singers did not go from car to car during the entire trip to entertain. We heard one song and then had to walk to another train car if we wanted to hear them after our meal. You don’t get to see much of Cincinnati if that is what your expecting. Overall it was a good experience and the service and wait staff were excellent but wouldn’t do it again

July 15th was our 3rd time on the Cincinnati Dinner Train. Our first time and tonight we were celebrating our anniversary. Our anniversary is next week so we celebrated a week early. This experience never gets boring! The waitress staff were very nice and friendly. The conductor Brian did a great job explaining history along the train route. Looking forward for another trip.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The train itself was nice ..restrooms very tiny, of course. The view from the train was awful! We had to sit across from total strangers the whole ride and share a table for four. I made our reservations in early May for August because that’s the earliest you could reserve a ticket. I reserved a car that had minimal seating (desiring something more intimate) with two table seating options in hopes that we would get a two-person table in that car since we were reserving as early as possible. My husband and I were out celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary which only comes once in a lifetime. Needless to say we were very disappointed. If we must have to sit at a table of four.. they should at least have you sitting across from your party instead of having you facing complete strangers the whole 3 hour trip.

We had an amazing time on the dinner train! Lucky, our waitress was incredible and Craig our conductor was so informative! Craig even selected Kalvin to go on the exclusive locomotive tour! The Queen City sisters were great at the end of the ride. Dave was particularly amazing for waiting with us for our Uber. Food was great! Scenery was okay. We will be back!

Was surprised with a birthday dinner here last month. The staff was absolutely amazing, our conductor was a lot of fun to talk to and he was very knowledgeable. The food was just next level exquisite, and the atmosphere was so amazing. We were seated across from another couple and the ride and company was great. There was a vocal group that even had a concert in the rear car.
