This has quickly become my absolute favorite restaurant in Los Angeles.

House-made pastas!! I think about the corn ravioli frequently. Everything we ordered was delicious! The service and atmosphere were both so friendly and charming.

This is a really lovely place with excellent food. It has recently been completely renovated and it is very cozy inside but there is also an outside area. This is a family owned restaurant and you will be well taken care of. And the most important thing – the food is amazing! Authentic Italian, with a menu that changes often. But most of all, so tasty. I tried their breakfast egg and avocado on toast and for lunch I had an assortment of chef chosen meals – shrimp, some ravioli home made bread. Ravioli were also home made. And did I mention pastries. Oh, the pastries! And if you think Pacific Palisades is far, this restaurant is just off Sunset Blvd, a few minutes drive up from PCH. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Let me put it this way. The Bolognese was so good I ordered it twice. The truffle pizza was just as amazing. Except between my wife toddler and I we just could not order any more… our stomachs are only so big….

The people who wrote the negative reviews must have no brains and or no taste buds.

I would give it a zero if I could. It is hard to know where to begin. Firstly, and actually least impactful, was the food. Many of the dishes were served cold. Secondly, they are very “strict” and rigid in “explaining,” in a bizarre DMV way, about not allowing any changes to items whatsoever. I can understand a chef taking pride in their creations and not wanting them ruined by an unsuspecting guest, but there are nice ways of explaining that. Thirdly, and most importantly- because dining is experiential- the servers refused at first, as did the chef/owner, to provide us with adequate seating for our party of eleven, despite a reservation. Two four tops just do not cut it, and then arguing and refusing at first to accommodate us with extra room (and there were plenty of empty tables and room available) is just wrong. Fourthly, they NEVER offered us tap water, and simply dropped off three bottles of “flat” water for which they tried to charge us 24$…when it was pointed out that we wanted tap, we were lectured about how we must have misunderstood and not communicated properly. Fifthly, members of our party (adults) were yelled at when they tried to use the bathroom and told they HAD to find their way to the bathroom via a different route. Sixthly, we were told the water bill would be corrected “to make you happy, ” after a lengthy and (calm on our part) explanation that we were never told that the “flat” water was not tap water nor told that we were going to be charged significantly for water. WE (used to) give them a lot of business especially huge take out orders and if this is the way normal patrons are treated, I feel just sad for them. What could have been a good experience and with food that previously had been excellent they have a very poor prognosis especially being hidden away and with lots of new competition in the neighborhood. Of their own doing. We would have let it all be and would even give them another chance if at least an apology were offered but that was not even close to forthcoming.

This is an excellent mix of qualitative resources (from olive oil to wheat, produce and meat) and fine cooking. The vibe is charming but not formal. Congratulations to Cinque Terre West! Can’t wait to go back and try new dishes.

Pizza is a must try! Love they used fresh tomatoes to make the sauce. I had the duck breast medium done but half of the meat was raw and unable to chew. Would recommend it for medium well or well done. My friend had seafood spaghetti and risotto. The risotto of the day is a bit expensive. Make sure you asked for the price before ordering

This place used to be a sandwich and hamburger place and it was great. Now, they want to act as a full sit down restaurant and full menu which doesn’t go with the setting. They don’t have the ambiance for that. They don’t even serve hamburgers for dinner anymore. The tables are too close to each other. Just not what it used to be. Too bad!
