We dropped by Circa after having watched a movie across the street and were pleasantly surprised. This place is beautiful inside, quite small, but charming. What stood out for us was the food and the service. I had a steak entrée that was quite good. My partner ended up getting scallops. Both meals were delicious. The server was also great – super friendly and very helpful and super attentive. I wish we would’ve tried this place sooner. Will be back.

The food and drinks were delicious, however, the service is less than desirable here. Although we came in a little before the dinner rush, other couples got their server and food/drinks ordered far ahead of us, and it wasn’t until we asked someone that we got served. To the waiter who was walking around to refill water glasses, was the real hero who saved this review from a 1 star.

Service was top-notch and, based on reviews, most people seem to enjoy the food. But mine was disappointing. I had “The Standard” for brunch. The scrambled eggs were excellent, but the toast was hard, the bacon was dry, and the hash browns were bland with a hint of unknown, unpleasant flavor. I was expecting better.

The location is convenient and the staff is fantastic. The food, however…not so great. I’ve been here three times: once had the steak salad (ordered medium rare and it came out *extremely* rare, bright red and very chewy,) once had an expensive yet unmemorable dessert, and finally last night I ordered the skirt steak (tasted like it had been marinating in cheap soy sauce for a week, the mashed potatoes were bland, and the veggies looked and tasted as if they’d been in the steamer all day). The vibe of the place is nice and the waitstaff are lovely, but after three separate bad experiences with the food, I won’t be coming back here again.
