This is my favorite place to get a Carolina style burger. I don’t drive by this place as much as I did previously. It’s probably a good thing. When I drive by, I’m compelled to get a burger all-the-way. It is the best. Today, I called to try and place my order ahead of time. They were busy and the phone just kept ringing. Disappointed would be an understatement, while I thought that they were closed. Thankfully, they were open when I drove to them. What an amazing place! If you’re driving near there, it’s in your best interest to get some food there.

Visited for a late breakfast early lunch. Great service! Totally full of locals. Large menu. Since it was around 10:30 am, I went with a livermush, cheese, egg sandwich. It was pretty good. I kind of wish there was something local like this joint by where I live!

If you’re just passing through or local and haven’t tried this place it is a must-stop location! This place in food, service, and quality is the Ritz Carlton of Waffle House like restaurants. As soon as our coffee was down just a tad the team of servers refilled it. Everyone helps each other to give customers the best experience possible! The chef in the kitchen is an absolute mad-lad! He was whipping up orders faster and with more skill than I’ve ever seen, and for five years I used to work in a restaurant with a cook line so I know what skill looks like! Thank you guys for such a good time with good food! Y’all are awesome!!

City BBQ was a welcome delight for this city girl who just recently found herself in NC. The fried pickles were truly delicious!!! And the chopped BBQ sammie with the their homemade sweet BBQ sauce was wonderful! I hated getting full. Our server was polite and on the ball which made the experience extra nice. Food was served piping hot! We WILL be back!! Extra nice touch that the napkin dispensers have the daily specials posted so you know what’s available.

It’s alright for a local burger joint. The BBQ needs to be heated a different way than on the grill with all the hamburger grease and other things. Had better BQ at other places

Got carry out . Food was hot. Ordered 2 orders of hush puppies with bbq sandwich.when I got home, there was a total of 4 hush puppies. CK YOUR ORDER before u leave.. lesson learned.

This place is short and sweet, quick and easy, fast service, and awesome staff. If you don’t get a seat fast it will fill up quickly. It’s kinda tight but city bbq is great food for a single guy or gal or a family squeezing in for a good meal. The cooks are great, they might not have the ability to sling a shrimp into a hat with a spatula, but they are clean cut and can rock and roll any food on the menu. Their music in the background makes them authentic and a style of a home body restaurant for good home school cooking. People are called by name and welcome. This restaurant/nook Made me feel like family. I Loved it… thank you city barbecue the cooks and staff for the wonderful breakfast I found my morning breakfast. At City BBQ . Also, tip well , people deserve appreciation for good food, I wish the cooks had a tip jar so they could get tipped. Cooks are more than overlooked when the food is served. Especially if you have ever worked making pizza, Or delivered food. Not everyone has it easy in the food industry . Sometimes giving good tips helps the attitude sometimes it doesn’t, but here at city barbecue it doesn’t matter they all have smiles on their faces.
