The food at City Cafe is Delicious!. There is a national chain brand right next door ( rhymes with tracker carrols), but I have, at many times, seen more traffic at City Cafe. I had the Greek Omelete ( eggs, gyro meat, tzatziki sauce), and toast. SCRUMPTIOUS! The patty melt was ooey gooey delicious. I can also recommend the Western Omelete with Home Fries.

I found this restaurant by accident and I love coming here. The portions are huge! Breakfast is delicious, I usually get the meat lovers omelet. If I get a burger, it’s usually the Alabama burger. My husband has tried the Gyros and the meat is so TENDER! You must try some of their cheesecake. It would make the Golden Girls happy. It’s that good! Seriously, a wonderful place. The staff is warm and welcoming. My first pic is what I had to eat, the meat lovers omelet. We also ordered a basket of onion rings. It came with ranch dipping sauce. Very tasty!

Overall this diner was just OK. For all the hype I was given by people who rave about it… it’s just a normal old diner- nothing significant or special about it. If you’re looking for a local boutique breakfast place with new flavors, choose something else. If you’re looking for quick greasy feel good food without the cigarette ash of Waffle House, this is probably the place for you. The food is about on par with Dennys- which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. (That being said, I focused on the breakfast side of the menu) The reason I gave four stars was because everything felt rushed. We went on a Sunday around brunch time and it was pretty busy but nothing out of the ordinary. The food to me seemed slapped together and the floor and waiting area was full of wrappers and crumbs and they forgot to put the food in for some of our party so we had to wait for a little bit. City Cafe has foods range from great breakfast foods, sandwiches, classic American food, and Italian food, to the most wonderful desserts. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Huntsville. We have never had bad service. We can either share a meal or we will have extra to take home. The portions of desserts are enough for 2 or 3 people.

It was the best food that I’ve eaten out in a long time. The service was great , everyone we dealt with was friendly and I can’t say enough about how great the food was & the portions were unbelievable. Mine could of easily fed 2 people. My experience was wonderful. I will definitely go back again. Their menu has a huge selection. Many great choices & varieties. Absolutely wonderful.
