Beach, FL. We are Chef-owned and operated by Chef Scott
Krause with the help of his friendly staff.
Our mission is to keep it simply traditional and provide
our guests with meals made from scratch by the Chef
himself. We don’t claim to have reinvented the wheel by
any means, but we do claim to put our love and energy
into everything we make here! At City Market Bistro you
can treat it as an extension of your home, we’ve got a cozy

Delightful atmosphere, crowded space (in a good way), beautiful decor and incredible food. This place is higher quality than most in the area. Customer service is on the highest level, with addition to their menu waitresses give you daily specials rundown. We weren’t super hungry to begin with but we tried their sides, appetizers and deserts. Overall incredible food full of rich flavors, beautifully presented. Would recommend!

This was my second time at City Market. Both times I ordered the burger and both times I loved it. They use seasoning on their burgers. In my opinion its one of the best burgers in Volusia county. The burger comes with hand cut fresh fries. The seasoning makes them even better. I’ve been to City Market a couple more times since my review. My experience everytime we frequent this restaurant its always a good experience. My wife’s favorite dish is the BBQ shrimp and grits.

The food was great, the service was great. What I don’t appreciate is after paying the bill using a CC and leaving a cash tip, an employee added 20% more (tip?) to the CC. That is credit card fraud and is a criminal act. Unfortunately the business is closed Sunday and I’m leaving town so I can’t recoup the stolen funds. I won’t be dining here anymore.

Amazing hidden gem! We were seated right away in a cute corner table with lots of cushions. The waitress was very thorough to understand my food allergies and even talked to the chef several times to confirm the ingredients. I’m grateful to both of them for their thoroughness. The steak and sautéed greens were cooked perfectly and the mixed drink was refreshing. Excellent service and beautiful environment.

Great service and very high quality dishes. Even the bread was so good that I ate them all. We just wish they had a full bar vs only beer and wine but that’s just our opinion. We will be back to try other items!

Today was my second time visiting City Market Bistro and both experiences have been great! The bartender let us taste 2 new drinks they are considering adding to the menu (which I recommend!) and the Chef created an absolutely delightful array of desserts for us to enjoy after our meals. This little gem of a place offers you a great deal of charm with some outstanding food. Looked in Historic New Symrna Beach it provides you a comfortable environment that you crave near the beach but with an upgraded menu. Not sure if they were going for a beachy New Orleans vibe but that was what I was picking up. Go early or expect to wait because many people also share in my opinion of City Market Bistro.
