Stopped in for a quick bite. There were many options on the menu including seafood, meat, and some veggie options too! The salsas were delicous; I particularly appreciated that they didn’t hold back with the spice in the green salsa.

I got the shrimp, bacon and cheese taco and the one mahi taco. They were good. The tortilla was made to order and delicious. Kind of small. A lot of different texture and ingredients, I find too complex. I like to keep it simple. You like a lot of flare then this chain taco restaurant is for you.

The tacos are excellent, freshly prepared, and better than any other tacos I’ve had in San Diego including busier and more popular places. Very good value compared to other options.

Went to a Padres game and City Tacos is a must stop. Food was great and it’s right next to Petco Park. It was taco Tuesday also so we got 10% off. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to city tacos before in North Park and was very pleased with the experience. This one downtown not as much. It seems similar enough but the service isn’t as great and though I ordered what was labeled vegan tacos. They had cheese on them. When I inquired as to why, they said they are default vegetarian unless I specifically ask, yet they are labeled as vegan on the menu. Live and learn I guess.

Really tasty food in a convenient spot in the Gaslamp district. Popular with locals but the kitchen still tried their best to get the food out to us faster than they said. Pretty good prices for San Diego too. Recommend the shrimp/camaron tacos for sure!

City Tacos would be a four star taco stop if it were not in San Diego; but, honestly San Diego is competitive when it comes to tacos. If you like westernized tacos then this actually may be the place for you!

The worst carne asada taco I ever had! It was barely warm, tasted like it was microwaved no seasoning, it was 1 big slice of meat that was tough to bite into. We also ordered chips and guacamole was told guacamole was not ready yet, but they could give us salsa yet still charged us $6,50 for a small boat of chips and salsa. Funniest thing was all our tacos had fresh guacamole on it. Definitely not worth $4.50 a taco. If you dont want to get ripped of and dont want to hug your toilet all night I would not suggest going to the Downtown spot!

Incredibly satisfied with my tacos here: so good I came back the next day. Really appreciate the creative vegetarian and pescatarian options, as well as the friendly counter service by the young man. Good prices to boot and fun reggaeton music inside.
