I noticed a scathing review posted today and happened to be in the restaraunt to witness the exchange. The owner was professional and remained calm even though the reviewer was way out of line and argumentative. They ended up getting the meals comped that they complained about so adequate compensation was received and the reviewer still felt the need to leave this receipt behind before storming out after her scene.

First time in since it became CJ’s and was totally disappointed in the food. The service was generally OK and attentive but the food was another matter. My visiting daughter and I had breakfast there Saturday morning 9/05. I understand that the quality of food is dependent on the specific cook on shift but I have to say the gravy on my biscuits and gravy was the worst I’ve ever had. The gravy was a totally congealed mass on top of the biscuit (which was a run of the mill packaged biscuit mix). The gravy had little flavor, was pasty tasting (like what happens when the raw flour taste isn’t cooked out of the flour), and the butter/oil was separating from the rest of the gravy. Totally not properly prepared gravy and impossible to eat. The scrambled eggs with the B &G were tasteless and seemed like unseasoned egg mix/substitute.

Heard a lot of good things about the food here so we came to try it out. When we sat down and the waitress approached there was no greeting, just a “What can I get for you?”. Afterwards the breakfast sandwich came out with the wrong cheese which the waitress seemed very annoyed to fix and gave no apology whatsoever, but she did have it remade. The remake then came out with sausage instead of the bacon that had been asked for. Plate sat on the side of the table for quite a while, obviously not being touched but she didn’t come check on us. We eventually asked the bus boy to take it back and ask the waitress to remove it from the bill. Another waitress came out to ask what was wrong with it after the bus boy took it back and rolled her eyes and walked away when we told her it had the wrong meat this time. The eggs Benedict that was ordered along with the sandwich was alright but the service was so poor, and I have noticed I am not the first to review about poor, snippy, and rude service. She still got tipped 20% on the bill after the sandwich was removed because stiffing her would only work to perpetuate her poor attitude today and in the future. As someone who has spent the last 11 years working in food service (serving and cooking) I can safely say that I would never give this kind of attitude and service to any customer.

Went in 04/07/2023 my son and his girlfriend and i were from out of town so I believe in supporting local businesses we walked In. there was one table that had 4 people at it when we walked in and we sat for 15 minutes. She never even acknowledged that we were there. Another couple walked in and she went straight to them to help them out with their food and still nothing towards us not even a I’ll be right with you she seemed irritated so we walked out and went somewhere else to another Local business I was hoping to test their food we heard a lot of good things about it. But we didn’t get to experience that we had a bad experience. Won’t ever go back to it?
