For those who mentioned “Greek Owned” the family is actually Albanian, and I’ve met quite a few Albanian-owner restaurants. They put their heart and passion into delivering an exceptional dining experience, ensuring customer satisfaction. Ordered fried haddock on an off exercise night, chatted with the daughter of the owner, very nice people. I was actually so hungry that I forgot to snap a beginning photo, so you’re seeing what was partially left! Delicious and fresh haddock, French fries and onion rings, typical run of the mill seafood plate in New England. Comes with a house salad. I was satiated. Place is clean too, which is always nice.

Nice place for seafood. Except I was going vegetarian when I went there. But hey the eggplant parm sub wasnt bad. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Coleslaw was crunchy and well dressed. My only warning is that the eggplant comes out super hot, so give it a minute or two to cool down.

Excellent! We had the clam plate and a small clam box. The food was excellent!! Clams were tiny and sweet and perfectly cooked. Clam plate came with choice of two sides plus we received a salad as well. Portions were ample. We could not have been happier. We drove past The Clam Box because there was a line out the door and stopped instead at The Clam House despite an empty parking lot. Everything was served to us and was just the perfect temperature. Owners are very nice. We will definitely return!!!

Nice little place to grab some fried seafood. We had a mixed plate and the clams were amazing as the rest of it too. Great variety in food offers and also cold drinks. Cute and cosy interior seating, but you can also sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. Parking is possible on site. Don’t hesitate to stop over for a snack.

A delightful surprise. We had cheeseburgers, fried clams, fries, onion rings, fried shrimp, gyro. Everything was fresh, delicious, crisp. The gyro in particular was so good it will be worth going out of the way to have again! There were seven of us and every person loved it. The only leftovers were crumbs.

Great value. I think a lot of the other reviewers are expecting a fine dining experience and were disappointed. It’s a hole in the wall clam shack, with surly Greek owners, but those are the some of the best joints around. While Woodman’s can thrive on hype alone, and the Clam Box and Farnham’s get noticed by the more discerning diner diving for the delicious fried ambrosia of Essex County, you can come here for half the price and no line and get food that comes 90% close to what you would get there. And they have great soft serve and Greek style pizza too for the kids. Skip the hype and beat the lines at Woodman’s and come here.

Solid. Average price for a fisherman’s platter. Indoor seating. Also has subs and baklava. Seafood was good but not exceptional. Whole belly clam strips had huge bellies that seemed almost… primordial. Great find if you love the bellies. No lines like other places.

This place is REALLY good. I imagine a of people pass this place over for some of the more will known fish places. Well, more for me then. This establishment has reasonable prices and really great food.

Wanted Ipswich clams and so drove to Ipswich from Lancaster. Haven’t had them in several years. Heard good things about the Clam Box but they were closed the day we drove out. Wound up at Clam House a few miles down the road. I gave it three stars because I haven’t made any comparisons in the area. The clams were small and few for a $27 clamplate. Everything was good but was very dissappinted in the size and quantity of the clams.
