I took my husband here for his 39th birthday and we love the atmosphere of the visit! Food is phenomenal and the employees are friendly and welcoming. Went back with our children and they also love the place…they have our business and vote! Will return asap!

We’ve been here several times and we will continue to come back! Husband got the jumbo BBQ sammich with fried okra and I got a bacon cheese burger with their awesome fries. Once again, we were not disappointed!! Clancy’s is just a an awesome place with excellent feel good comfort food! The more than generous pulled pork BBQ, topped with coleslaw sandwich was tender and juicy. We’ll be back, highly recommend!

Ate here for the first time today and I truly thought it was wonderful! Great food and customer service. Really enjoyed the hush puppies and the sweet tea was made perfectly. The fried cat fish and fries was not disappointing at all, very pleasing. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I were headed to Memphis and stopped to at a convenient store in Redbanks which was right across the street from this cafe. We decided to go in and try it and we are so glad we did! It’s like sitting in your Grandmothers kitchen. It’s modestly decorated with comfortable, older-style decor. Very friendly and inviting, quaint place. Everything about this place is welcoming. There’s nothing elaborate about the food, Just great southern food made with care. Felt like it was straight out of Grandma’s kitchen! They place a basket of hush puppies on the table while you wait on your food and they are delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed it. We both left, stuffed and happy with our meal choices.

Clancy’s advertises a Sunday buffet from 11am to 8pm. When we arrived at 1:40pm and asked for the buffet, the server replied that “We don’t have that anymore”. There were signs everywhere advertising the buffet. What she meant is that the cafe had run out of food and did not intend to replenish. We drove 30 minutes, anticipating a fun adventure with southern cooking. So, husband wanted to stay and we ordered off the board. No okra, one of our choices. Only 1 baked potato left. Let hubby have it. I ordered hamburger steak, turnip greens and slaw, the latter two dishes left uneaten. The hamburger steak was okay, just okay. My husband enjoyed his catfish platter and I agree that the fish was outstanding. The hush puppies were okay. Would have given fewer stars but my husband liked his meal.

Purposely came off the road to dine her and guess what? Worth the effort. Folks here know their craft and it’s a sweet little hidden gem of a BBQ joint. Family owned, quirky and original. Food is absolutely amazing and portions are just right. Served with a side of freshly made hush poppies and you’re on a roll. Whatever you choose, make sure to tip these ladies, they will be grateful for it. Enjoy the Experience.

Memphis Flyer highlighted them this week – nice article. Went for lunch today …not because of Article…it was already planned for some time for meet & greet with folk from the next county. Did not disappoint! Super nice staff, very accommodating for a business meeting. Husband had the Catfish and I had 1/2 rack of ribs with Okra & Turnip Greens. Dry with sauce on the side – she gave me one sweet & one spicy. Brownie Points for the basket of hush puppies with … something good….onions in sugar & vinegar? Dang. The photo is my take home part…I wish now I had ordered the whole rack as there is not much left.

Had the brisket this place is known for – it was very tender and mildly seasoned with sauce available. The salad was a bit wilty. My friend had the catfish which was okay. The chocolate dessert was amazing. I can’t remember the name but it’s like a fudge cake, like Shoney’s used to make, but the cake is in pieces. The young lady who waited on us was extremely friendly and helpful.
