I absolutely love everything about Clara’s Kitchen. The staff are extremely friendly, honest, and very kind. They are knowledgeable about their menu items and patient in helping you choose the right food. Serving sizes are appropriate and prices are reasonable. The food is truly cooked to perfection and very flavorful. They definitely made me feel at home. I highly recommend Clara’s Kitchen to anyone !

Looking for fried food and GPS pulled this place bb up. I appreciated the authenticity of a kitchen cooked meal. Small place but real. Boudins were good. Red beans and rice were bland, old and a bit cold and I didn’t get my fries. Staff was very friendly and working alone so I didn’t want to bother too much since he was working hard. Not the greatest soul food I’ve ever eaten, but I’d give it another shot due to friendly staff and I’d like to try the catfish next time.

The food was great and had decent portion and tasted wonderful. It’s the first place that’s I’ve been to since I came to Denton that reminded me of the Mom and Pop place back home in Mississippi. Of course it was warm inside but that’s to let you know the food will be good.

Small place. Food was great. Clean but small. Staff was great. By herself. The whole beef I have is air conditioning not working and hot kitchen right there. I felt for her … so hot in the bldg. I will go back another time when air is working. It was the first time I had been there.

I swear I Wana love this place so bad.. but I haven’t had a great experience. I feel for the staff. The no AC is insane in this heat and inhumane. They were out of greens and it was honestly main reason I went. Mac n cheese didn’t taste fresh. My boyfriend’s ribs seemed boiled n strange.. but the main thing that had me twisted was…. The “rose specials” they sell on the counter… I don’t particularly think it’s great to be selling these in public view.. If you know what that is. You know what it is. The end. Basically all I’m saying as a recovering addict I don’t want to see crack pipes being sold when I’m just craving collard greens.

First timer and new local. Their food was so good. Just the chicken was over cooked(fried) but everything else was delicious. The cornbread and corn nuggets and links and catfish was delicious. We had so much food we couldn’t stuff but still did. Staff was so friendly and welcoming and that is always a returning customer reward.

I have to say this place was skeptical when walking in but the gentleman was very friendly. The food took awhile, but was worth the wait. Tried the catfish, it needed some dipping sauce, the fries, delicious and mac and cheese was okay. I want to go back and give it another chance and try more things that other’s recommended. It was very reasonably priced.
