Breakfast is as good as it gets at Clarence’s. Service is very good. The dining room is acceptably clean. I’ve only had lunch here once. I DO NOT recommend the country fried steak (which came with brown gravy?) or the fried green tomatoes . Neither one was any good.

A great little Diner we ran up on in Erwin, TN. The food was cooked perfectly and the service was awesome. This place was an old fast food place turned into Clarence’s Diner. Had the Cheeseburger with fries, Barky had the Reuben and our guest had a BLT. They were all great. The onion rings looked perfect and were said to be delicious.

The service was quick and friendly even though it was extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon. Mac n cheese and green fried tomatoes were exactly what you’d want from a place like this. The country fried steak was classic as well. The Reuben sandwich was okay and the fries were normal.

Food was great, server was awesome! I did notice it’s not a very multicultural place, lots of elderly locals come here. I definitely got looks of the locals because I was a person of color. I did realize there was maybe one more Hispanic in the establishment, but it’s 85% white folks. We went on a Saturday Morning.

Another great mom and pop place!! Love the small town feel. Every dish we had was good. The pancakes smelled Soo good! The meatloaf taste like Mom’s, real mashed potatoes. I had the country ham dinner and it was delish too. My favorite was the bread!! I don’t know what kind of bread but it was so good!

I don’t like fried wax paper on my sausage patties. Nor do I like being overcharged. The person who brought my food gave me a dirty look straight to my face. DON’T GO HERE. Many other places in Erwin who are friendly and much more professional and clean.

Absolutely super friendly staff and I always get a super nice waitress when my mom and me eat here it’s one of our favorite places to eat together and I always get SO MUCH FOOD and usually need a to-go box if I haven’t cleaned my whole plate depending on how hungry I was lol. They serve breakfast ALL DAY which I LOVE SO MUCH, and it’s always super delish and they have a great variety of dinner items on their menu also and definitely recommend the hot fudge cake for dessert!
