Ordered the curried goat and French fried chicken. Very good. A little hole in the wall kind of joint. Authentic Jamaican food, as good as being on the island itself.

Got or order delivered via grub hub. The oxtails and rice & beans were really good! They could slow cook the oxtail so it falls off the bone but over all not really something to complain about. We’re from NY so this definitely hit like home. The gravy was delicious and had a small kick to it YUM! The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars is cause they forgot my mash and gravy that was supposed to be for my 2 year old who ate all my rice instead overall, best food we had the whole week in Myrtle.

Where to start? So I walk in. The young gentleman behind the counter is neither wearing a mask, nor gloves to share the food. He used his bare thumb to steady a piece of meat into the take out container. I overlooked that. Mind you, I’m visiting from out of town, and had Googled, to see if there’s a Jamaican place to eat from. When I tell you I was SO DISAPPOINTED. AND IN SHOCK!!! I could not comprehend, how BAD THE FOOD WAS. Presentation and ALL. I’m writing this review to let others know, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. $15 for a plate that was clearly the effort of a 5 year old! The rice and peas was very soft and mushy! And the chicken was Burnt, dried, baked chicken. No Flavor in Any of it!! I could go on. But I won’t. Just too disgusted! In hindsight, I realize that the few people that seem familiar with the business, was only there to see our reaction. Because they showed up right when we sat down. Watching and waiting. Oh and don’t bother with the patties, (meat pies) either. A waste of $8 for 2!! I am so Ashamed!!! That. Is Not! Authentic Jamaican cuisine!

Got oxtail from here and let me tell you it was the worst I’ve ever taste in my whole life and the price was alot, on top of that when I got my food there is just 4 piece of oxtail with no meat pure fat an bones also 2 pieces of the oxtail was the size of a premature baby fist and the other 2 was the size of a grape. No matter how hungry I get I will never eat here again.

We’ve given this restaurant our business multiple times over the years when we come to Myrtle Beach. The service has always been so so but today it was horrendous. The man who said he is the chef was surly and unfriendly from the moment we walked in. We asked about getting their fried dumplings and were told though they were on the posted menu that they did not make them ( because they are a breakfast item) until next month. When we asked if there was any way they could make them as the owner made them last time for us he angrily told us to go to the other Jamaican restaurant to ask them instead. We ended up just ordering $100 of food- one item was escoveitch fish- and since that takes 30 minutes asked one more time if he could also make the fried dumplings and was refused again. When our food was ready my daughter said something to me not in any way related to him or the restaurant and he nastily told her she needs to learn to read and pointed to the laminated menu on the counter top. At that point he an I exchanged a lot of words. He called me names multiple times and was cursing me out in front of other customers. We clearly won’t be returning and will stop recommending the restaurant as we’d done so many times. Some serious customer service training needs to be done. Also the oxtails were complete trash this time so even if that situation hadn’t occurred we likely wouldn’t have returned.

Caribbean born and raised so figured I’d try out island cuisine while in Myrtle. Got the curry goat, it was on point. I told the lady I like it hot (pepper), and it was hot. I don’t know if she added more heat to the goat but if this was how it usually is, if you don’t like hot food, you won’t like it. So beware. But for me, that curry goat was delicious. Gonna try the jerk later this week.

I ordered the jerk chicken. This was the second time I ever had that meal. It was nice but I was a bit disappointed.

Just ate there for dinner today and I must say that the food was hot, delicious, and authentic. The portions are more than enough.

I visited this place last year with my family the food was amazing I’m here again this year 2020 and I can’t wait to get there in the next few minutes. It’s one of the best reason to come to Myrtle Beach. If only they had a Clarendon cuisine in Winston-Salem . They are always so nice, I will continue to support this business. You can get your order in less then 5mins it’s a blessing from the food God’s really. Please go there your will not be disappointed.
