Clark’s Outpost was founded in 1974 by the late Warren Clark in Tioga, Texas. bWarren had a vision for true country BBQ and brought that vision to life. It was his belief, and now ours, that for the meat to taste its best, a carefully crafted slow-smoke process had to be adopted.
Our passion is to ensure our customers experience the finest in BBQ, consistently. Over the years we’ve been fortunate to be highly rated by our customers. These accolades have set the bar high, ensuring we maintain our tradition of excellence.

Today, Clark’s Outpost is run with the very same enthusiasm as in 1974, with a tradition of outstanding food and a friendly staff.

A little disappointed with the food. Brisket was a pretty dry, which is bad considering I ordered “moist”.

Went here with my family and it was really good. The thing to get is the ribs, those were really really good. I definitely ate too much but that was a personal problem.

Finally stopped in after saying we need to try it for years. We’ll definitely be coming back. The staff is super friendly! The plates are huge! We got stuffed and had leftovers. We ordered the fried cheese balls and devoured them. Ordered the kids chicken strip plate, calf fries meal, rib and one meat plate, and the kids corn dog basket. Husband said those were the best fried calf fries he’s ever had. The brisket was sooo good. French fries were hit with all of us! Ribs and sides were yummy too.

First time here. We got 2 stuffed baked potatoes with chopped brisket and cheese. Also ordered 1/2 lb sliced brisket but they gave us chopped. No big deal. Now, I’m trying to write a fair review so here goes…potatoes and brisket were good but there was hardly any brisket on the potatoes. That was disappointing. However, the potatoes were only 8 bucks each so maybe that’s appropriate, I’m not sure. The food was good and I would eat there again, but I was expecting more of a stuffed potato. See the pics.

What a great BBQ spot! I was in town for a wedding and I love to try BBQ places wherever I go. I didn’t have time for an entire meal so I asked for it to-go. They vaccum sealed my meats and put it in a tray with ice over it as I was not going to be back at my home for 6+ hours. It was still cold by the time I got home even though the tray was sitting in my car in 100 degree heat! The chopped brisket and the sausage were absolutely amazing and the BBQ sauce was something special! I’d definitely be making special trips to Tioga for this gem!

Tonight was the first time we’d been here in at least 5 years. We were pleasantly surprised with everything tonight. We ordered everything from drinks and appetizers to dessert. I had the chicken fried steak, and it was very good. It’s nice to be able to go somewhere semi close to home and get a good chicken fried steak. Husband had the ribs and Trout. They were also good. The warm peach cobbler with vanilla icecream was absolutely delicious! They even have cocktails now!! If you haven’t been in several years definitely give them another try.

My son and I stopped in to check it out. We had not been in since they had reopened. The food was good and reasonably priced for BBQ. The waitress we had was very nice. We will probably go back.

Wife liked her catfish and the mac&cheese. Side of beans were “too sweet”

I had the grilled pork chops and it was pretty bad; dry, tough, lacking flavor. Everything else was fine. Wife had catfish, which I tasted, and it was good. Service was good. Don’t recommend the pork chops. Will go again and have something else.

I don’t understand why sides of bbq sauce are not offered. Who wants a dry BBQ sandwich? Ordered through Togo got two sides each with our chop beef sandwiches, young girl in the drive thru even read my my order back it was correct. Get all the way home 1 side was forgotten. Management wasn’t helpful when I called about it.
