We went to The Classic in Manahawkin for breakfast this morning. I opted for something sweet (no prosecco…at least not yet) and ordered the stuffed pancakes. My husband had the town square omelette. Both were fantastic! It was a lot of food. Barely ate half, but it was a treat for me since I normally have eggs for breakfast. Service was fantastic as well. We highly recommend! They are located on 72 in the Buy Rite plaza, in case anyone is curious.

We enjoyed! Breakfast – perfect amount of food. Eggs Benedict was tasty, omlette was good. Quick service. The restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Very clean too! I love supporting local businesses

This hidden gem serves up an amazing breakfast every time. The food is scrumptious and the attention to detail is above and beyond the ordinary breakfast place. Cloth napkins, fresh fruit and vegetables, great service and each dish is made to order. Highly recommend.

Today was our 4th visit to this unassuming restaurant. All of the visits have been for breakfast only but the food was outstanding each time. Whether your taste runs to omelets, pancakes or waffles, all of the dishes experienced were delicious, well presented and over-sized. I especially recommend the omelets – you will not be disappointed. The place is spotlessly clean and adds nice touches such as cloth napkins and quality dinnerware & flatware. The servers are friendly and attentive and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality/quantity of food received. If you are looking for a great breakfast, give this gem a try.

This is our new favorite breakfast place. The food is very fresh, made perfectly. The toast was from a fresh baked loaf of bread, The fruit cup was berries and bananas, not the typical old melons. Coffee was so good! The entire restaurant was super clean, especially the bathrooms. On a scale from 1-5, we give a 6.

Was visiting family in the area, they like the place and it’s convenient so we went several times. Food is okay. Lunch was better than breakfast. Always busy so they seat you before the table is ready and don’t care if you don’t like the location. Hostess barely spoke. Waitresses on all but one occasion very matter of fact almost to the point of rudeness, and avoided making eye contact. Waitresses sighed and frowned if we ask for a few more minutes to look at the menu. Yes, it’s one of those places, the kind where it feels like if they don’t know you, they aren’t interested in giving you a good experience. Bill was always presented within 10 minutes of getting food, regardless of whether or not we were still eating, and other waitresses had to be flagged down for drink refills, napkins, etc. Most times we went the place was packed so we knew the staff would be pressed for time but the attitude was the same when it was half empty. Perfunctory service with no welcome, not the first place I’ve been to that seems to treat customers like cars at a car wash…”get ’em in and get ’em out”.

Ordered my usual iced tea..it had a very odd taste…I told waitress and gave it back. The water had it too…not sure if it’s well water or a bad filtration system or what…but not a good taste. Speaking of not a good taste, the home fries are way too overseasoned..a very strong herb taste that took over everything but the water. My pork roll egg and cheese was good though- pork roll sliced thin which is hard to find. Server was nice. Just needs a bit more experience…

More than four stars, but I’ve only been there once. Our omelettes were BIG, with a lot of ingredients. Rye toast was good, and the coffee pot came frequently. The side potatoes were very tasty (at first I thought a bit skimpy, but the omelette was so big, I could not finish the potatoes anyway!). The place felt like a cute diner with upgraded food and decor. After I visit another time or two, I’ll add the 5th star. – Bob
