Clay Oven was the only Indian restaurant we could find in this area during our hunt for the apartments. I’m new in St. Petersburg so have to rely on the reviews entirely. I read multiple reviews mentioning their buffet being great, I called them to confirm the timings but for some reasons they no longer serve the buffet.

Delighted to find that the other reviews were spot on about the friendly and welcoming Luis, the dry chickpeas were indeed excellent, garlic naan excellent. Would recommend. (the place needs and is undergoing some renovations, but seems typical with restaurants we’ve seen in the area. Doesn’t effect my tasty dinner whatsoever)

Always an awesome dining experience here. They make sure to take care of you. A little pricier than I would like. But I keep going back for their portions and flavors. The chicken vindaloo with garlin naan is the best, and they make strong cocktails.

It has became one of my favorite places since now, starting with the service, the waitress was really kind and serve our meal efficiently. The place was empty but enjoyable, quiet and nice climate. My favorite part was the food, it has an authentically flavor, I tried a mild sauce and it was really great, also I recommend garlic naan which is a great too. Finally I’ve got the Lion beer, a stout that tastes amazing, they said that it is very common in India and I’m sure it is because its fantastic flavor. In few words, it is an amazing place to have lunch or even better having dinner and spend good time.

The food was very delicious. Our waitress was polite and really helpful with suggestions on the menu. Pleasant atmosphere. Would be good for a large group to order a few items to share and taste each one. I would recommend ordering mild spice for dishes if you are sensitive to spicy heat. We ordered medium and it was a little much for me. But the Mango Lassi helped soothe the spice.

We ordered the garlic naan, mint yogurt, mixed tandoori, and some sort of goat dish. The older gentlemen serving us was friendly and delivered superb service. Although the mixed platter was on the pricier side, it was well worth it for the portions and ability to sample various meats (including shrimp!) Everything, including the rice, had excellent flavor. Also the place is equip with a bar with decent priced drinks. We will be back again

This Indian restaurant is a rare gem! Not only do they have wonderful and lovely service, they have a huge menu with many many many items that would serve any pallet or any vegetarian, vegan, or other dietary needs. They are very accommodating and they have extremely tasty food that just sounds and tastes very authentic. They have lots and lots of choices and varieties and different ways and anyway you can imagine. The bread is an absolute delight and they have for a grape variety of desserts. We will be coming back this place was awesome!

This place has the best Indian food I have ever had! Been there twice now with my boyfriend and everything we’ve eaten both times has been incredible. The service is also some of the best I have ever received at any restaurant. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian food and we will for sure be establishing ourselves as regulars to this place. Can’t wait to try their weekday lunch buffet next!
