This place is amazing and a true hidden gem. Each time we have been in here they are not crowded, and i just can’t understand why. The food is amazing and the waitress at the front counter is always so friendly. I find myself craving this food and the pastrami will have your mouth watering when you walk in the door and smell it. Do yourself a favor and go here!!

This is a family owned restaurant…a most beautiful and loving family. I can hardly wait to go back and see them. Great brisket and Reuben sandwiches as well. I’ve only tried their Pastrami and most recently their Reuben. They smoke their own meats, bake bread, and make homemade pickles. I’m very glad that I asked for a pickle, 1 little cup of grain mustard, and a little cup of their Thousand Islands dressing used in the Reuben because there was almost no sauerkraut on it and I love the entire sandwich to be moist. The next time I’ll definitely ask for extra sauerkraut. Love the food, family, and atmosphere! I highly recommend Clayton’s Counter and look forward to returning soon and often. Hope to become an honorary part of their lovable family.

I never review food, but my god, this place was fantastic. I’m currently on vacation in VA and decided to stop by here on the way to the aquarium. Their Reuben sandwich is unironically the single best Reuben sandwich I have ever had. It was astounding and worth every penny. I highly recommend eating here!

Ease check this place out! It was so delicious! I got a meatloaf sandwich and the meat was so tender it fell apart when I picked up the sandwich. Everything is smoked in house and all of the sauces are home made. Definitely my favorite place to go and grab a sandwich or burger.

Delicious roast beef sandwich. Hearty portion of tender beef. My husband had a butter burger that was excellent. I snuck a taste. They have Dr. Browns sodas. I liked the open concept kitchen too. I recommend trying this place soon. The manager was upbeat and checked on us. He had incredible energy and was very friendly.
