I have always scrolled over the location becuz of how it looks from the outside but I tried them one afternoon and to my surprise the rib tips were delicious. Now the drive to the location is pretty scenic and isolated in the Romulus area. There is nothing fancy about the place but the couple is very welcoming and pleasant. If you go, dont get thrown off with the building because they are selling BQ from a store front building which is strange but HEY it works.

The place is really small, there’s not actually seating spots so it would we crowded pretty easily. The staff was supper attentive and respectful and provided good options for lunch. The flavor of the sandwiches was really good

What can I say ….. Nothing good, really. Everything was microwaved. The ribs were just “meh”. Meaty? Yes. Tender and fall off the bone? No. No flavor in the sides. Our first instinct was to turn right back around out that door but we were hopeful. Thankfully we did not get sick because that place felt so grimy. I’m sorry to leave such a negative review but the man must know he shouldn’t have customers with the place looking like that.

Had just landed at the airport in Detroit and still had to drive to Kalamazoo and was hungry for barbecue. This place was perfect to stop at as it’s near the airport and right off the highway. I got some ribs and some brisket. Both were excellent. The brisket was extremely tender and melted in my mouth. And the ribs were good too with a sauce that is subtle, but flavorful. Super nice family running this place. I couldn’t have been happier with my service and with stopping here!
