Cleaver and Cocktail will expand upon the best elements of what chefs Marc Del Pietro and Brian Doherty have done so well at The Block for a decade—delicious, meat forward, locally sourced meals. The menu will consist of various meat and fish options, including a selection of high-quality steaks, dry aged in-house and in view of visitors as they enter the building. A glass wall behind the hostess stand will give visitors a window into the dry aging process and use racks of meat to make a bold visual statement.
Look out for the exact opening date and menu, to be announced in the coming months.

Overall I would give 4.5 if I could. The food and service were excellent with management checking on you regularly. The dry aged short ribs are worth going back for, but was not impressed with bourbon selection and it was very loud. Going with a group it would be no problem but as a date night it is difficult at times to have a conversation. Patio looks awesome and can’t wait to give that a try!

Another perfect date night, celebration night, or girls’ night w.e spot in STL is at Cleaver and Cocktail / Wild Crush in West County. 13360 Clayton Rd StL. Cleaver and Cocktail have dry-aged steaks and premium cocktails. The interior is beautiful and there’s a huge outdoor area that I didn’t take pics of but it has live music and lots of places to take pictures of. A lot of people brought their chairs for the garden area. The patio is huge and overlooks the fountain. The staff hooked us up after a bit of a wait. Will be back when it’s warmer.

Not a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was the opposite of intimate. Ear splitting would capture its essence. Conversation among our party of eight was impossible. I didn’t envy the waiter sweating heroically in the overheated dining room trying to shout the specials. I hardly heard a word she said, but out of pity didn’t ask her to repeat anything and ordered from the very limited menu: Beet salad, boneless ribeye, mashed potatoes. The salad was bland, but pistachios were a nice addition. The ribeye splayed lonely on the plate resembled a pork steak in appearance and thickness, although it was cooked to the requested medium rare and the sauce was fine. The potatoes, served separately in a bowl, were potatoes. My wife ordered the tomato salad and ribeye. She shrugged when I asked using sign language about her meal. The bill for the two of us (salads, steaks of a quality on par with Texas Roadhouse, a split side and a few drinks) was $270. So how would I rate Cleaver & Cocktail? Overpriced, certainly. Overrated hardly begins to describe it.

We went here to celebrate our anniversary. Having been to one of the chefs other restaurants (58 hundred) we knew his food would be good but it was amazing! The sides are plenty big enough for 2 to split, we also shared the porterhouse because it was so big. It was the best steak dinner we’ve ever had! Would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a special night out! I am also currently using a knee scooter due to ankle surgery and they were very accommodating and helpful! Staff was friendly, facility was very clean.

The food and the service is incredible. The dining room is a little bit loud, but the steaks are some of the best in the area.

Food and Service were excellent. Dry age prices are decided by weight and not on menu until they weigh them everyday. Prices are to be expected for the quality of the ingredients and location. We had great service!

Stopped in for dinner without reservations and they were booked so we ate at the bar. It was awesome! The beet salad was so good. My husband and I both had the halibut and it was delicious! The wine, cocktails, and chocolate mousse were all amazing. Great bartenders and met some really fun people at the bar! Can’t wait to go back. Not only was the food amazing but we had a great time.

The dry-aged ribeye steaks were generous and amazing! Cooked to the temperature I asked which was blue. Blue is a cold red center and most places won’t do that. They have a large selection of wine and other alcoholic drinks. I highly recommend it!
