Fuquay Fun Finds
We had a good time recently our first time checking this place out. We went on the weekend during lunch hours to watch some sports. They have a good selection of beers on draft and the orange creamsicle drink special was good. We sat in the bar area which was nice and the waitress provided good service. There was a slight wait for our drinks as the bar got busier but wasn’t too bad. We got the patty melt and hurricane burger. Both were good and hope to go and try some other staples like their wings soon!

Great staff ready to help. Three seating options so that was really nice. The bar was very good with about anything you could want. Overall a typical tavern style menu with a good selection. I got the fish and chips and thought it was good. Wife had beef tips and I would say it was wonderful. Great place to watch sports and then shoot some pool with friends.

Nice beer variety and good selection of pub fare. Fish sandwich in particular includes a hearty portion of lightly breaded white fish with pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and tartar sauce and a side. (Photo is a leftover half-portion.) Atmosphere features plenty of TVs, pool tables, and darts.

I gave a one star for our experience because you can’t put 0. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We had a party of 23. We let them know a week in advance we were coming and called again today to make sure it wouldn’t be too much of an issue. The waitress took only 8 orders at 545pm. She took 5 orders at 6pm and the rest of us at 615pm. Those of us that ordered at 615pm didn’t receive our food until 735pm. It had been sitting so long that the pasta noodles were hard and cold. All food was barely lukewarm otherwise. We received a burger that came with raw bacon and a hair and the chicken tenders were burnt, crunchy and had black edges. No refills and no silverware. The server was quite rude. She was huffing and puffing and slamming things down. And they still wanted us to pay even though we didn’t eat. The manager never apologized. She just stated that it was really busy and they were backed up. Never again!!

Ordered potato skins. They came undercooked and filled with liquid nacho cheese. One of the most disgusting things I’ve ever been served. My wife ordered the lobster roll. She wasn’t able to eat it because of how salty it was. My daughter got the chicken Alfredo which came adorned with undercooked (virtually raw) broccoli. The kitchen is apparently run by idiots. Avoid wasting your money here.

Had the buffalo chicken sandwich and house made chips. Pretty good meal, although I ordered hot and it tasted really mild. My wife ordered medium and it barely had any heat. The staff were friendly. Food took a long time to come out and we were one of the only tables but I guess I can chalk that up to coming at an off time (3pm weekday). I would definitely try it again, but might sneak in a bottle of hot sauce next time.

Great meal here last Wednesday night. Good food. 20+ beers and 5 hard ciders on tap. Excellent service. It was our first time and we will eat here again.
