The garlic shrimp noodles were honestly one of the best fried noodle dishes I’ve ever had. Not too salty or oily. Had perfect chewiness and mouthfeel, just the right amount of garlic. The shrimp was grilled and retained moisture, but crispy and slightly charred on the outside. The wicked Bennie was also great!

AMAZING experience! We did the Chef Bar: Cocktail Magic + Modern Culinary Tapas on Tock for $125pp. The experience was for a 5 course tasting menu paired with artisan cocktails. Well worth the value without having to go all the way to SF for a tasting experience.

Super fun to sit at the bar and engage with the bartender. The drinks on offer are true craft cocktails that are made with the flare of a Vegas magic show. Very good complimentary food to go with.

Good food but service was so poor I just can’t give it more than 2 stars. Indifferent staff who barely wanted to interact with customers. Didn’t bring out plates, napkins or utensils even after food came out until we asked. They didn’t seem to want to take our order. Not sure if those were the owners or just workers but in any case very mediocre experience at a very expensive price point.

Roti was flaky and light with a good dip. It’s not clear from the menu that their vegetarian option is tofu – had to clarify with the server. Fried rice buns with tofu were great with a balance in texture and flavor. Pho was enormous – didn’t get around to having any but the soup was delicious and light.

Happy hour was a pleasant surprise! The roti, fresh spring rolls (can be made vegetarian), and wings were a hit as were the inventive cocktails. Staff were attentive and the outdoor dining was toasty under the heaters.

Big shout-out to chef Trung Nguyen for letting us get a sneak preview of the upcoming four course prix fixe menu for Oakland restaurant week! The food and drinks were all exceptionally cooked, perfectly seasoned and, as you can see from the photos, beautiful.

We had an amazing dinner here. The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was wonderful. We sat at the bar because it was a busy Friday night, and had three different people checking in on us. Our waiter was fun, told us jokes, and had a lot of knowledge of the menu and food. Awesome veggie options, unique cocktails, and amazing food.

Arrived here at around 8:30pm as a last-minute plan for a late dinner. Our server cleared an open table at the parklet and set up heat lamps for us. The upbeat music put us in an instant good mood. I enjoyed looking at the mural along with pockets of succulents above. We ordered the Chim Cút, butter glazed fried quail. That was so tasty! The prawns that came with the garlic noodles, MìTỏi, was so big and fresh. I savored every bite of that Hot Steamed Bun with braised pork belly.

Everyone here was super nice and the food came out hot and at a reasonable pace. Also loved that they still honored Oakland restaurant week even though it was passed the date. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I thought certain dishes were a little too sweet. The sweetness overpowered some of the dishes. Despite that, I would definitely come back here again. Also, they have a great drink/bar selection!!
