So glad to come across this hidden gem, “hole in a wall” while at Monticello. We came a bit late and had limited options. Despite that, Coach Denis did not disappoint!!! We got hotdogs (we tried all toppings!), collard greens, mac and cheese and one of the best fried whiting fish sandwich I had!! Can’t wait to go back to try what Coach has to offer, especially the BBQs!!!

A true gem on the side of the road! The food is super tasty, authentically American, and very filling! Good prices too. I’m veryTheir barbecue sauce is the bomb! So so sooo good! I stopped by today for the first time. They were beyond friendly and were more than happy to help me create a meal that was accommodating to my ketogenic diet. I had some unsauced ribs, some hot wings, a small slab of corned beef, and a side of Cole slaw. The food was fantastic, portions were great, and the price was right as well. I will definitely go back!!

Needs some dialing in still. Ribs are the surest test of any good BBQ joint and—despite what the very nice counter girl informed me–they did not fall off the bone. I in fact, broke the plastic fork getting the meat off. Beans were perfect, collards as well with a nice seasoning to boot. Would be willing to try again since they’re so new but yeah, I’ve had better.

Delish! Fall off the bone ribs! Great home made sides of coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans,& corn bread!! I tore it all up!! Next time ill get it sauce on the side. Looking forward to some gumbo and collard greens when I come back!!
