We both ordered the half and half special (half sandwich with a cup of soup). I really enjoyed the #15 sandwich with different Italian cold cuts, on a focaccia roll – it tasted very fresh and flavorful. My soup choice was clam chowder and it was really good. My wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich and bacon cheese potato soup; she really enjoyed the soup, but the chicken salad had a lot of pepper in it (see the picture). It was kind of surprising they would put that much pepper in a chicken salad? The staff was friendly and made our sandwiches and got the soup very quickly. The shop is very unique, feels like it hasn’t changed in thirty years, very homey and comfortable feeling. With all of the BSU gear, I was surprised they didn’t have TV’s to watch the games. Overall it was a good experience and we’ll probably be back, but this time maybe not for the chicken salad

Good and quick sandwich shop! Their marbled rye and focaccia bread were both great!

Found this gem of a sandwich shop by chance! I stopped by two days in a row and had some amazing sandwiches. The customer service was also great. Would definitely recommend to anyone that’s looking for a great sandwich

Best sandwiches in the valley. Don’t get me wrong, I like Jimmy John’s and Subway, but for a truly great, fresh, delicious sub, from a local company, you can’t beat Cobby’s!

I was impressed with this sandwich shop. Most sandwich shops are pretty ho hum, but this one includes more exotic fare, including my favorite capicolla ham. I rarely find it in the Boise area. I had it on focaccia bread which tasted locally made, and got it with the standard accompaniments, though i added a little italian dressing the way they made it in Pittsburgh. It was lovely and had just the right balance of vegetables to meat, and wasn’t so full that i couldn’t get it in my mouth. My husband got the egg salad and he said it was as good as he could make, which is high praise for him. We both got the “a little bit more” for $14.85 which is a full sandwich, soup or salad bar, apple or orange, chips and a drink. Neither one of us could eat more than half of our sandwiches or our chips and had to save our cookies for later. Great value for money in our opinion.

Meatball sammich needed more cheese. Clam chowder is good, but could use a bit more clam.

I’m so glad you guys wasted 15 minutes of my 30 minutes lunch! Maybe when you guys have 6 or 7 people standing in like to order, don’t sit there and talk to your friends while you have people waiting! I’ve been eating at cobbies in Garden City for the last 10 years, and was so stoked when there was one right up the road! DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION, don’t waste your time, unless you wanna watch the people making your sandwich talk to their friends instead of making food for people who came to spend money on a sandwich! Can’t even fathom this! 6 people in line and 15 minutes you managed to get 1 order out!! Keep up the great work guys! I’ll make sure to never come back to your location! I recommend no one else does either!

Solid Sandwich Shop in Boise. Better than hitting a chain fast food shop. Anytime there is an Ian Johnson jersey on the wall is a good sign. Had the French Dip, it was great and I like things that are great.

A lot of money for a sandwich that had a smear of tuna! I saw their picture on FaceBook and looked forward to trying it. Their picture showed a good amount of tuna, I barely got tuna flavored bread. There was a good inch and a half to two inches at the ends that were tuna free, and a good 1/2 inch tuna free on the sides, but realistically the sandwhich was pretty much tuna free. So bummed! I know it was one person (but I tend to think it’s policy). I hope not, I hope others get at least close to what they would call a tuna sandwhich. It’s not likely to look like their picture!
