*I’ve been a Cochino fan at other locations before this one for years. Unfortunately the reason by Cochino was what it was, was because it’s every day happy hour prices. Now that they bumped their prices they have completely lost their identity in my opinion. They have never had the best food or anything but the prices were worth it. Margs used to be $5 now they’re $7 on happy hour. My friends and I NEVER went to Cochinos after 6 o’clock because once happy hour was over, the quality wasn’t worth full price. Now… a happy hour marg is $7 and full price used to be $8. Not going back.

First off, let me start by saying Lulu was our server she was outstanding. it was our first time at Cochino Taco. It was the name of the restaurant to caught our attention. My wife had a fish taco and I had a breakfast burrito. The food is excellent. The green chili is phenomenal. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean as well.

This is exactly what the Edgewater neighborhood needed. The staff was friendly, the food is delicious and there are killer happy hour deals. It truly is everything you could want in a local taco shop. I can’t wait to watch football games here this fall. Lisa my bartender was awesome and I know I’ll become a regular. Highly recommend.

The chips and queso were AMAZING!!! The tacos? Not so much… the corn tortilla isn’t doing it. Swap that out with a flour that’s fully cooked and you might be onto something, but I left feeling it was mid, at best.

If your frame of reference for tacos is Chiles and Taco Bell, then this place might wow you. If you’ve had decent street tacos ever, then you will probably be disappointed. Everything we had was overly greasy (not in the good way). Some quirky starters, and the staff and space were fine, but the food was such a let down.

I thought this place was pretty good. I had 2 tacos and a house marg for under $20 at lunch time (Happy Hour is 11-6). The house marg was nothing special but pretty strong! I had the shrimp and pork belly tacos, both were flavorful! The patio was nice and clean. Jack took care of me and he was great! I’ll be back again.
