We were very distraught to hear Mi Cocina Mexicana is being sold by its current owners. Many lovely experiences here over the years. Highly recommend the pineapple aqua fresca and the tostada with tinga. We hope the new owners keep much of the menu the same, especially the weekend specials like the enchiladas and the pozole.

Great little place!!! My family and I are regulars here, and have never had a bad experience. Food is always fresh and delicious, the prices are fair, and the service is superb! I recommend the Mexican quesadillas; simple, but really good. You can eat in or take out, but eating in gets you complimentary chips and salsa, which never fails to disappoint. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try authentic Mexican food.

Used to go to this restaurant pretty regularly, but the last 3 times the service has been a real challenge. Seems like they have a lot of new kids working there who have never worked in a restaurant before. Missing food, stuff wrong, generally the minimum expectations stuff is getting messed up. The food is great if you can deal with all the other stuff. We’re going to give it a break for a few months and maybe try again.

Just had dinner here with two very dear people. It’s a casual atmosphere, but the wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was good, and the portions large – I could only eat half of my meal. We got yummy fried ice cream for dessert. It’s BYOB – they don’t serve liquor – but I recommend this restaurant as a laid back, relaxed place to grab yummy Mexican food with friends.

The food was great, loved everything about it. My only complaint is the slow service and our waitress, who seemed to want to interact with us as little as humanly possible. Prices varied a bit, but overall it seemed worth it with the larger portions

The first time I went there with a friend the food was awful and I told the owner. I eventually tried again as she asked. I was delighted to find my food to be delicious and now I go there whenever I feel like Mexican food. I have a few favorite dishes, love the guacamole but wish they serve generous amounts of sour cream. The Mexican cream is ok but skimpy. Still the best Mexican restaurant in this very Mexican area.

Sorry to see the original owners did not make it though the Covid year. It was one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The new flavor is more of a scheduled California taco hut.

The best mini chimichanga ever. Nice people and great food. I’m slightly addicted and go almost once a week. They are sometimes very busy but worth the trip. Side note: the light on the corner sucks.

It’s ok. Honestly I wish they could be more accomadating to people that don’t know what everything is on the menu. We had to ask a lot of questions and the waitress wasn’t of much help. Could be awesome if they had more photos so you don’t have to ask what it is and to also have the vegan symbols underneath items that are vegan or could be vegan. Just to be inclusive and easier to navigate. We just got chips and quac and tacos, tostadas and Mexican rice. Food was good and not expensive.
