Love this place. Quaint Belgian bistro in old town occoquan. It’s a quiet atmosphere with a lot of outdoor seating.

A quiet refuge; wonderful food and atmosphere; transports you away from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia to a quiet Belgian countryside restaurant. Not to be missed.

Visited around 5:30pm with a party of 3 for dinner. We were quickly seated outside on the patio area – I should note that if you’re easily bothered by bugs and the like be aware they are a presence when the weather is nicer.

Absolutely amazing! Chef Warren was on point with every dish! Everything came out fresh HOT and ready. The waffles are to die for! And the family atmosphere and environment will have you coming back for more and more! I highly recommend the hot WINE! Mr. Albert is an angel sent from heaven he welcomed our family with open arms and a huge smile! Stop by and enjoy the patio scene.

Excellent late lunch here after a couple hours exploring the town. We had mussels with fries. Our mussels were in a garlic cream sauce with brandy and mushrooms. Perfectly cooked and delicious. The fries were also excellent. So good we got a second order! And the mayo with the fries was phenomenal.

This is a true gem in the heart of historic Occoquan!! The food was delicious and the service was spectacular. Walking toward the entrance you feel like you have just been transported to a small European square. Chef George is a master and an artist! I am looking forward to eating here again very soon.

Dine at the outdoor seating, dog friendly and wonderful staff. Must try the croque madam, a hot gruyere and prosciutto sandwich topped with a sunny side up. For the mussels we had the brew ha ha which is cooked with beer, sausage and potatoes, fresh and delicious. Be sure to add the fries my favorite to go with mussels. French Onion soup is on the thicker side than what you would normally get from restaurant, good flavor. And of course to end the meal with light fluffy Belgium waffles. I picked the strawberry and added the Belgium chocolate perfect match and a perfect way to finish up our late lunch.

This is a wondrous magical marvelous little restaurant. Everything we ordered got better and better. The mussels Provencal is fantastic. The pate was the real deal. Earthy and rustic – if the lifeforce or “Chi” was edible, it’d be Cock and Bowl’s country pate.
