Coconut Jack’s is undoubtedly the ultimate destination for beachgoers in South Padre Island. This exceptional beach bar never fails to impress with its vibrant atmosphere and the remarkable individuals you’ll encounter there. The live band at Coconut Jack’s sets the stage for an unforgettable experience, adding a vivacious energy to this already amazing establishment. Moreover, the colossal 200-inch display enhances the ambiance and offers patrons an unrivaled audiovisual treat.

Food was tasty but over priced for what you get. Drinks expensive but well worth it, I think they double up on the pour. :-). The music, if you can call it that, I would say sounds more like noise, was way too loud, can’t even hear the person sitting next to you. Good mix of music but, as we all know, you can ruin good music with too much volume. There are much better places on the island with much better prices for much better quality of food.

Take my heed. There is a reason that reviews are all over for this place. I ordered a mango margarita and a shot of grand Marnier. $22 (expected) my friend ordered a mango tango and shot of grand Marnier. $34 Don’t ask me what the difference was between our orders to account for a $14 difference, but the bartender was scary, so we slammed them down the hatch and walked out. $56 for 2 sugar waters and 2 shots of grand marnier.

The live music was great. The manager was nice. But the bartender was rude. Made a mistake and thought to blame me (the customer) for her mistake. The food was not to par at all. soggy fries recooked fish and the cheese tasted old. Can say with certainty that I wont be going back. Tried to be optimistic about it. But over all not the best experience.

Pricey. Two appetizers, a mixed drink and a beer. $70. Food was ok. Not $50 good. Pretty place to watch a sunset though.

Did this place change ownership? I always bring new customers to this place, raving that the coconut shrimp is top notch. For the last few years, quality has been going down. This last time around though, the quality was garbage and that’s a compliment. I have had better fried shrimp at a $10 buffet. You couldn’t taste the coconut at all. That’s forgivable but my cousin didn’t put a tip because he’s from Mexico and said that he thought tip was added at the end, once service is provided. Since you order and pay at the bar, he signed the tab thinking he would go back and add tip. I left a tip on my tab and the female bartender treated me and my cousin totally different. She didn’t even bring my cousin his food. I just think this place should be more understanding about cultural differences and maybe wait to charge the customer AFTER if we are at a sitting restaurant. Tipping should be given after a service and food are provided. Or here’s an idea, maybe TRY to be kind in case the tip is cash. I just won’t be going back there because of how they treated my family. Food 0/10, service 0/10. So why go? $30 per person for a truly bad experience. Spend ur money elsewhere. As for the owner, hire better people
