We stumble onto Cody’s as we were driving through Ashland City. It was after lunchtime but they were still open and very inviting when we arrived. The server was kind and made great recommendations. The country fried steak was delicious. The sides were all very good also. The only negative was the old cornbread muffin. It tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. Other than that we had a great meal.

Wholesome breakfast food without being super greasy like most diners. I got the spinach omelette and it was PACKED with spinach. This is EXACTLY what I want in a breakfast place: No frills, just good food with what you wanted in it.

Cody’s is the definition of a hole in the wall and I personally wouldn’t change a thing about it. A very small town environment. The restaurant is a converted home so seating is limited. I highly recommend giving Cody’s a try. We had the breakfast. It tasted like grandma’s eggs on the farm and the atmosphere made me feel like I was sitting at her dining room table.
