First time in Mankato, and this is the first cafe I visited while waiting for my nephew taking ACT test at a high school nearby. Love the ambience here, very artistic. Great coffee & delicious breakfast. The breakfast burritos (with sour cream and salsa) and their egg & cheese are highly recommended.

Art, great coffee, delicious food, nice people. LOVE their coffee and staff. Our favorite foods there are the breakfast burritos (yummy with sour cream and salsa) and their cashew egg sandwich (perfect for enjoying outside on a nice day). Whenever I stop through Mankato I LOVE stopping by Coffee Hag. Try the chai latte! They make their own chai mix of masala spices in-house and it tastes so much better than other coffee houses that use a generic powdered mix. There’s ample seating and it’s a great hangout. Service is quick and friendly, and it’s a place where you can be your truest self.

We love the vibes in this coffee shop. The drinks are really good. My favorites are the dirty chai and the cold brew. The food is pretty good too with quite a variety of options available. The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of seating, including a few spots to plug in a device. And they have clean restrooms.

This place is a Mankato staple for a reason! Very friendly atmosphere for when you want to slow down and have a good coffee experience that Caribou/Starbuck/Dunkin cannot achieve. The coffee is always good here, but I have to emphasize the hospitality of the staff here. While walking in Old Downtown on a hot day, we stopped in for an iced drink to cool off. After ordering, we realized neither of us brought a wallet to pay. Just as we were about to cancel our order and leave, the staff member gave us our drinks and told us to pay later (which of course we did). Very good business!

Super cozy & friendly! If you have a sweet tooth like me, their coffee is a bit on the bitter side, but their food and other drinks are to die for! Free wifi too, and the only place I know of that serves lemonade smoothies.

Delicious lattes, and the staff is very attentive! If they notice you taking a seat they’ll often bring your drink to you. The decorations are also beautiful, and the seating arrangement gives off a cozy atmosphere.
