Can’t give less than 5 stars for a coffee shop as accommodating as Colectivo. Sure the coffee is on the mediocre side (better than Starbucks at least) but the location is brimming with areas to hang out and work, across several levels. I especially like the upstairs area with open view and seats galore. Outlets everywhere, great app with great rewards. A great spot at UW.

Colectivo Coffee on State Street proved to be a fantastic choice during my recent visit to Madison for UW-Madison’s graduation weekend. Seeking a warm and comforting beverage, I opted for a hot whole milk latte, accompanied by a draft nitro cold brew to satisfy my caffeine cravings. I’m delighted to say that both drinks surpassed my expectations in terms of taste and quality.

The staff was helpful with explaining the menu. The smell inside was wonderful. Very busy and getting a table could be a challenge, but they have a place where you can stand to eat and drink.

Delicious coffee and sandwiches. Fast friendly service. Convenient location for downtown exploring. Plenty of seating options indoors and outside.

luv, wish they asked about “for here”/“to go” (i always forget to say i want it for here) but i get it, dishes are annoying lol, default is to-go. summer menu this year is tasty, green garden goddess sandwich and green gazpacho today and did iced lavender matcha latte. (love that they have lavender syrup). warning: busy as hell in the mornings and during the semester. TIP YOUR BARISTAS!!!! (and colectivo inc get yr butt onto paying them better)

The coffee is amazing, the workers are the sweetest, and I can study here for hours on end. If you ever want a good coffee shop that also does latte art this is the one. Again can’t appreciate the employees enough they are all so helpful and will help find if there are any allergens in the food and drinks.

Enjoyed the food. Especially the baked oatmeal with yogurt and English muffin sausage egg breakfast sandwich. Feels home made. The only negative is the number of homeless sitting in the cafe made the experience less than exceptional.

Always a coffee shop that I visit whenever I’m in Madison, Wisconsin. They have some very tasty seasonal drinks, as well as a solid espresso pull and amazing pour over coffee. This location is always a bit busier than some of the others I feel due to its location, but it’s still worth dropping in for a visit.

I feel mixed about this place. I like their breakfast and bakery items. Most staff seems friendly, but some staff seems passive-aggressive and hostile. People that drink coffee there sit quietly to themselves.
